What are you up to this weekend?

Heading to St David’s on Sunday, for three days, then continuing around Wales but with no fixed itinerary.
We’re in St David’s atm moving on tomorrow.are you booked in anywhere?

Booked onto Glan y Mor site.
Not quite on the coast then ,we’re further down the road from you on the Caerfri farm site ( the one on the right ) with glorious sea views😄have you been here before?are you walkers? If so the walk along the coastal path past St Nons Spring and chapel to Porthclais is superb 👍about five miles round trip but there is a nice cafe kiosk at Porthclais (and the little river there is named after me!![Alun]).
enjoy you your stay👍👍

Yes, we have visited St. David’s and Pembrokeshire many times, pre-covid.

We have chosen Glan y Mor as it is the nearest site to St. David’s itself. Mrs Maison is limited to how far she can walk and has a habit of overdoing it, walking further than she should and then suffering for it. A total of about five miles is now her limit. Unfortunately, arthritis has led to her having bilateral knee replacements. When younger we walked many trails throughout the U.K. and Europe.

On this visit we want to re-explore the town and Cathedral again and will use bikes to visit the coast, as she has an electric bike to help her. I am still relying on leg power.:(

I agree that the area around there is beautiful, as is much of Wales. We also intend to visit Portmeirion as part of the journey, the Lleyn Penninsula, Snowdonia, central Wales and the Brecon Beacons.

Porthclais should be no problem on a bike 1.5miles from St David’s , very pretty harbour.👍

Well we moved and after a little chaos with the bottom of the chain taking on a loan for 20k before the mortgage had cleared...all is now OK and we now are living in a little village called Weston lullingfields North Shropshire.
We have literally thrown everything in and closed it down. We are now down Woolacombe and travelling for 4 wks to get over the last 18 months living with a neighbour from hell! Wow...I could be in prison for shooting him? That aside...life moves on and we are now......Happy
Ps....its Carolyn's 60th birthday this weekend. We are just going to enjoy ourselves xxx

Moonbeams music festival, held at a brewery 🍺🍺🍺

Hoping to start our tour of Wales, which should have started last week but was scuppered when we both developed COVID.

Both still tested positive this morning so hoping it will clear quickly. If still positive at the weekend we will postpone again rather than risk infecting other travellers.🤞

Hopefully finding somewhere a little quieter than last weekend.

Lets have a one night pub stop in the country I said. Arrived at the pub, went for a walk, when we came back, a 21st birthday party was in full swing in a marquee next to the car park with a late license!!
It was like bloody Glastonbury!
Packed up and came home. :swear:

Going to look for a mid week stay on a site within a radi of 60/70 miles from home that is 1. close to walking into a village (will refer to the list that was posted awhile ago) and 2. one that has a bar/restuarant on site. And no kids. I think hoping for no dogs is a step too far.
Might get HRH to follow me in one of the cars.

That will probably be the most expensive laundry you have ever used. We couldn't cope with the high cost of living in Norway. Whatever you do, don't get caught speeding. You can pay the police officer on the spot with your credit card and the fine will have lots of zeros.

The laundry is FREE just have to pay for a camp site. 570 kr about £50. But showers, water laundry all are free. That's for 2 nights. We have stayed on a few camp sites and compared to UK, I would say in general the facilities and quality are better here per £ than in UK. Except for this weekend most we have paid is £16 for the night. And diesel is vertically the same price, petrol is cheaper than UK. ( Well if I compare whet it was when we left 2 weeks ago.
But it's a fantastic country

We are in Bakewell for the carnival. Last night was the welly and wheelbarrow race
The area around the pubs in the centre had a few hundred people outside drinking, and all the youngsters were on their best behaviour. They can actually drink and be sensible unlike the morons in my town

Impromptu weekend in Zurich courtesy of Swiss Air cancelling my flights plural. I was supposed to be in the van, in a field, at a friends mini festival sipping cider and munching sausages. Oh well might as well kick back, soak up the view and make the most of it

Laundry in Bergen! You'll never get it dry. It's always raining.
They have a drier. But she decided to take clothes that can not go into a dryer so the van looks like a Chinese laundry at the moment. And yes it's raining, but it's the 1st time in nearly 2 weeks. Guess that was there summer.
