What are you up to this weekend?

Enjoy you weekend at a the antique show x I've changed the wording now to if anyone is at a loose end, so hoping someone may make it and come along.
Regards Kate

This weekend I’m still going to be in this rather plush hotel in Accra, listening, with folks from all over the world, to Prince Edward and the President of Ghana talking about the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Regardless of who’s attending, it is a brilliant scheme.
And regardless of that, it’s not a too shabby place to be bedded up!

I have been suffering with a raging toothache, I had forgotten just how bad a toothache can be. Last night did it for me, I arrived at my dentist before he arrived this morning for some antibiotics as my face is now really swollen. Got my antibiotics and started tacking my 5 day course, reading the small print it says any amount of alcohol while taking these tablets will make me very sicko_O
We are away this weekend so I guess it is going to be a dry one....:(

We will be away to the Bridgewater Carnival this weekend. Unusually for us, we will be staying on a large site (Brean Sands), because the inlaws will be there in their van too (we tend to use Brit Stops, or CLs). We have been to the carnival once before a few years ago, and it is an absolutely fantastic spectacle, which takes around 2.5 hours to pass by. The amount of work that goes into creating the floats is mind blowing. If you have never been, I think it is really worth a visit. :)

Thanks I am feeling a bit better already but I think it is more to do with infection spreading rather than being restricted with the pressure building up. It is the pressure from the infection build up that causes the pain. Just about to take my second antibiotic, cant believe it is going to be a dry weekend;) I have booked an appointment for next week to get the tooth sorted once the infection is under control..(y)

I have been advised about this spectacular event. How accessible is it from Breen and do you know any other places nearby that we could park the motorhome?

I have organised a meet for WildAx Owners' Group members, at C&CC Wolverley site, and hope to visit the Severn Valley Railway. We have 21 vans coming, a walk on Friday and meal out at the Lock Inn on Saturday. Looking forward to it.

Hello Wyn, there is a coach from Brean Sands (book in advance when booking the pitch) about 16:00 in the afternoon for £8:50 each. There are several CLs close to Bridgewater, some of which are apparently walkable distance (haven’t done that ourselves) to the centre.

Thanks. I'll take a look. :mm:

Well day 3 of my antibiotics and they are working a treat, swelling gone down and no longer in pain. Still got to be a dry weekend though as the course doesn't finish until Sunday. Nothing worse than being sober in the company of drunks.:)

Off for a long weekend in the Peak district this weekend.

Looks like we are in for a fair bit of rain Friday night and showers over the weekend but what the heck it's only rain.
We will have a mosey around Matlock and then ride up to Rowsley and back on the Peak steam railway before heading off for the caves at Buxton.
Booked a table Sunday evening at the Ladybower Inn so we can stop in their carpark overnight, then a nice drive taking in the scenery before heading off home.

I have not seen one of these "plastic maggots" for many years, and not ridden one for even more years. Ugly ducklings they may be, but they tend to go on and on regardless of what is thrown at them.

All finished now, boxed up and ready to go which gives us the free time to get down to London for the weekend, L' Entrecote in Soho Friday evening, Joanna Lumley Dury Lane theatre Saturday evening, Cenotaph Sunday morning, (might see you there Buttons) The Tower Sunday afternoon.

Just arrived at the NEC for the Classic Car show.
£16 to park, what a rip off!!
How come the tickets are only £13 on the day for the MH show and free parking, and tickets are £30 each and £16 Parking here at the Classic car show.
I guess whilst people keep paying it, then they will still keep putting prices up.
