What are you up to this weekend?

I am now relegated to HOPING I am going to Cambridge this weekend :( I was approaching a junction on my motorcycle earlier and the driver of the car ahead and to my left decided to change lanes without any of the mirror and signal routine. He just decided to do the manoeuvre bit! He forced me to my right and I caught my right foot on the kerb around a keep left bollard, which twisted my ankle as I moved forward. Thankfully I was only going slowly. I am now in a very long queue at Leicester Royal Infirmary, waiting for the results of my X-rays. At least I can read Motorhome Fun to pass the time, until my phone battery gives up the ghost :D I'm hoping my ankle isn't broken and it's just sprained or strained.

We need a 'what a bummer' emoticon, hope it is just a sprain another SMIDSY? Think all drivers, providing they are physically able to, should at least sit pillion before being allowed behind the wheel of a car.

Booked on the ferry Portsmouth / St Malo on Sunday for a 4 week meander around Southern France & North East Spain - plan to be at Twin Lakes next Wed 20th for a couple of days! :)

Off to Portugal on Thursday via tunnel for the first time, the plan is to travel down through Spain to Seville then turn into Portugal. Then foiiow the coast up. Well thats the plan, never been so far before. Weve 3 weeks :worried::worried:

Good news. I have some severe ligament damage but my ankle is not broken. The doctor is happy for me to drive, even if I have to take painkillers. So I'm O.K. for the trip to Cambridge this weekend!

Off to the biggest MX race of the year for us, Farleigh Castle, near Bath, Veterans MX of Nations.. this year the boy got an entry , so i will mostly be shouting at him to go faster, and ensuring the beer tent doesnt make a loss.

Had to empty the MH totally for its MOT on monday, so i have to load from scratch, which is a blessing and a pain in the arse , as we dont actually have a bike that runs yet..

Met the Muchies yesterday.... Hen & Steph are in fine form...

Lovely couple and a joy to spend the evening with them, Dave & Pam, their next door neighbours in Champagnac La Riviere... Off to Brantome aire today to do some sightseeing...

...off in Harvey to Pimmhill Barn near Shrewsbury for the weekend starting in the morning for daughter's wedding. Tomorrow we decorate the Barn with home crafted decorations, then have a supper for the band of helpers of home made (spent Monday baking and freezing) veggie quiches, salads and baguettes...to bed then up for a leisurely morning of pampering (hair and make-up) then at 15.00 the big event.....Sunday is clean up time:D:whistle: which will be fun too.:D

It is Jane's birthday on Sunday so we are off to Ocknell camping in the forest site for the weekend(y)and our girls are going to visit us there for a surprise; 1 for Lunch and and the other for breakfast.(y) - no, she doesn't read Funsters. Hopefully the weather is kind.:cautious:

Next weekend I'm dropping our motorhome off at Vanbitz for an alarm and non starter to be fitted next week, that's the second motorhome show I've been to that's cost me lots of money ;)
Rob went on Tuesday , he was very pleased with the great job Eddie and his team have done . I've only seen the 3 blue flashing lights and tiny key fob and have yet to hear the ears splitting noise! Worth every penny for the scrotes who think they can pinch our Ford cab Hobby MH. Rob said the campsite is lovely and peaceful but he was there in the windy storm and Taunton was a lovely town he did the museum there.

Enjoy! Off on your travels again! How is it all going on with your plot of land?
As we had to cancel our French trip I'm living vicariously through others holidays so eat a croisant for me and a dish of moules frites please!!!

Working today and tomorrow morning then down to Newhaven for our first trip abroad in Weenie. We've camped in France before so not total newbies but lots of firsts to come; driving on and off the ferry, parking in towns for site seeing, leaving a pitch we intend to return to and later our first Aire.
Not going far as it's only for a week but Normandy here we come. One Poppy cross to plant at a grave in Bayeaux.

Glad he enjoyed Taunton, shame we're away this week otherwise I could've taken him out for a pint.
I've not been to the museum since I was a kid, it was only 2p admission then ;):)

@Stretto Boy ....thank you so much....it all went well. We drove there with Harvey (our MH) and took the car as well as the venue was quite remote in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The day was amazing, fun, colourful, and very unconventional as you will see from the photos:D

Wow, that all looks fun! Great part of the world. My family roots on my father's side are in Oswestry, although sadly I have never lived there myself. Glad it all went so well.

World Enduro Championship at Hawkstone Park , Salop.. £10 to get in , better than visiting the outlaws..

Hopefully if Alan's left the BBC (bad back crew) we are going to Canterbury P&R cos it's Canterbury food festival this weekend.
