What’s your favourite CAMC site and why?

Dare I propose rowntree for visiting York. It’s location is great putting everything within walking distance.
Not a site for a peaceful sit out by the van all day but for a city break is spot on.
we’ve stayed at Abbey Wood when they were rebuilding the railway station. That was a nice oasis (albeit surrounded by multiple barbed wire fences) but bear in mind it does take a whle to get to central London

Crystal Palace has long been my favourite. Sadly now on borrowed time so no investment in recent times and it’s starting to show. However, fab location within walking distance of a vibrant multi-cultural centre with pubs, shops and restaurants. Adjoins huge parkland area and easy walk to railway and bus stations. No 3 bus runs 24/7 about every 15mins (daytime). Bus into central London takes the best part of 1hr, but great views of Westminster and the cityscape as you travel in. The site is a little oasis amongst the bustle of London. One of very few reasons why I reluctantly continue my CMC subscription.

It’s a great site and location. Sadly just about to be wrecked by CMC development plans.

Why wrecked? I just heard they were adding more electric hookup and better motorhome waste disposal.
