What’s been your best Motorhome?

This one has been our best one by far. And is currently available for sale

Robert Clark - now that’s some piece of kit, absolutely luv it...complete with washing machine too? (I’ll need to show this to the missus, though fear she might make me sell a limb). Good luck with the sale??

Our current van, a 2003 Hymer B 524, which we have owned from new.
Two superb beds, a large comfortable lounge, a garage for two bikes and all in 6 MTRS.
One previous, a Autosleeper Ravana
At the time £45000 a kings ransom now..
vanphil very nice van, we’d love an old Hymer, but they seem very rare with bunks (we’ve got 2 wee ones)

Hopefully our current one will be best, meant to pick it up next Saturday but obviously not happening. It’s a Knaus 650 MEG platinum.
All our vans have been ideal at the time we owned them as they suited or needs at that time.

I’m hoping it’s best as it’s meant to be a quality MH only time will tell.

had 3 previous so when we collect it our new one will be our 4th.

Our new one cost more than we planned on spending but after what’s happening in the world it reminds us how fragile we all are and having money in the bank won’t save you when your times up so may as well spend it .
lorger very true indeed, enjoy the new one when you get your hands on it??

The best without any hesitation was my RMB Silver Star 760 and matching RMB Fitzel trailer although I love my old Tiffin Allegro for its classic looks.
The reason it was the best was that the build quality was second to none. The original RMBs were recognised by competitors as being in a class of there own that could never be matched in the day.
Possibly 20 or 30 had passed through my hands prior to my first RMB and maybe another 10 since then.
Have no idea how much I paid for it now, but I do know I sold it too cheap, but it did go to a very good home.

Snowbird love that RMB with matching trailer - never seen them or heard of before but it looks some piece of kit??

The trailer was a one off, built by RMB on an alloy chassis Fitzel trailer for some German tennis player named Boris so he could carry his Porsche around with him. The 760 was the second RMB I imported from Germany, the first being a 670. They were both light years ahead of there time when built.

jongood - spotted this whilst searching one (we were after bunks for the kids, but I’m sure they won’t moan at this set up lol). Don’t know enough about them and it has no oven which is probs a deal breaker for the missus
I just found a great motorhome on Auto Trader:

Something funny with the link for me but copy and paste OK, prior to 2007 you had the choice of FWD Fiat or RWD Iveco on the Flair, this one is Fiat 2.8 so has the cam belt where a 2005 with the 3 litre RWD would be cam chain and have more torque and power the RWD ones especially the 3 litre do command a good price still, great vans though and really well built we had one for 8 years. I prefer the layout with the kitchen on the left side of the van and full height fridge freezer opposite and some of these would have an oven in as standard and room for a microwave above the freezer.

A lovely mh but it really depends what how you want to use it they are not the most agile machine the flair is quite heavy and IMO the Fiat 2.8 is not really up to the job. The Iveco 3 litre would definitely be most peoples choice for a Flair and it has been the only choice for a good long time now.

You are mentioning kids, can I ask if you are still working and on limited holiday time?
Jon

The RMB's like that have not been made for over 10 years now, the name was acquired by Pilote? and is used for their range toppers.

Seen that flair at motorlands a month ago wasnt impressed its had a life or two

The reason for asking about holiday time is that if families and kids are involved is more difficult to make mh's work ( says the voice of experience).
