Well, there goes 2021.

A happy and healthy New Year to you all! C19 hasn't been an issue thankfully for us both. Our dreams of full timing are still taking us to new locations throughout Europe. But for another Ducato ECU issue we'd have seen some more of the UK on our 90 day return to Blighty. Currently enjoying the warm sunshine of Cartagena

Goodbye 2021 and looking forward to a good 2022. Like many we have had our ups, downs, disappointments and fun times. Have so far managed to dodge the lurgy, long may that continue.

Off on a week in New Forest 2nd Jan (assuming no last minute restrictions) - determined to start the year the way we mean to continue.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Not a bad year really,,Got away to Europe twice. My computer skills although still primative have greatly improved with having to download test results and vaccine certificates..Let's hope for a HEALTHY 2022,,Thanks for Funsters Jim,,,BUSBY.

Not been bad for us old fogies down South here on the Island. Have to say that the initial shock of shielding took some getting used to but, coming so soon after my Cancer op.), it was fully justified. All three daughters rallied round and we managed. Since restrictions eased we got to the 'van (near Weston Super Mare) for several week long visits and hope to do the same in '22 as well as a couple of longer periods to be spent in Wales. This site, and all who post on it, have helped keep me sane and I especially give thanks to dryad (along with Riverbankannie and kevenh) for setting the daily quiz.

Hope 2022 is good or better to all FUNsters.

2021....a bit of a roller coaster for us... new moho in Feb.... FIL still with us (only just at times)... my Mother getting doddery...away in moho since April 12th.. our Summer of Rallies and Show meets. Met some really great people in some great places and had some really great times (nights mainly). Lost our dog Louie in early June (heartbreaking obviously)... decided on no dogs for a couple of years so.... got our new Border Terrier pup (see avatar) on 1st November. Now in the sunshine in Benicassim seeing out this old year and looking forward to the new.
Wishing all Funsters a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2022!
We shall raise a glass to you all and absent friends and loved ones at 9.00pm
Cheers
Nic and Jay

Not a great year. Managed personally to avoid Covid as did my husband and one daughter…..everyone else has had it. My eldest daughter has had it twice, a year apart. Fortunately no one was seriously ill with it. had 4 holidays cancelled but as I see it, a holiday is a privilege not a right So I shouldn’t complain.Got away in the Moho several times for breaks on several campsites here in Blighty. Lost my father in law in December, he was 91 and very poorly so not totally unexpected. What has been difficult is sorting out the will, estate and probate. It’s all so long and drawn out, especially with the Christmas holidays. His bank accounts are now frozen so trying to sort out how to pay all the household bills whist his disabled son is still living in the house. At least they won’t cut the water off I guess :ROFLMAO: I have spent hours on hold to the DWP with varying results from …on the ball and sorted in minutes to can’t do that without his sons NI number, which we have yet to find. The woman from DWP not only sorted out his benefits going into the new account but also gave me his NI number. Why couldn’t the other DWP bloke do that ?? Especially as I am appointed person anyway. Very frustrating. Got to tackle the extortionate Sky charges at some point as his dad was paying £71 a month and £15 for some insurance on the Sky and tv !!!! Looking forward to that conversation. Absolutely everything was in his dads name even to his son not having any bank account on his own nam… got that sorted now thankfully.
Rant over….. 2 ski holidays possibly on the cards, motocross will be back soon so hubby can get back to racing and starting to plan trips on the Moho. Here‘s to 2022. :giggle::cool:
I’ll PM you about this if it’s ok. I’ve just been through all this as my mum passed in October.

Despite several medical issue with Jean and Covid we had a really good year, managing to clock up 75 nights away in the motorhome and travelling over 5,000 miles around the UK. Really happy with that.
Hopefully we will be as lucky in 2022, all of which will be in the UK this year.
To all of our Funster friends, and all Funsters we have yet to meet, Jean, Benji and myself wish you all a Happy New Year.

Well said Jim - your news about Katie was absolutely brilliant.

Our motorhoming year has been good thanks to Fun meets.

Looking forward to next year with everything crossed for travel a little further away, but if that’s not possible, if the Fun meets are as good as this year we’ll be happy!

HNY to all!

2021 has been a year 'in limbo' for many reasons no spectacularly high or low points Van has earned its keep even with the added unexpected costs, it has kept me occupied

Met some interesting and kind people for that I am thankful Best wishes to you all in 2022

Thanks to you, Jim, and the Funster family, 2021 was pretty spectacular for me!

A few 'firsts' have inspired me to grab 2022 by the b@lls and make a lot more new memories.
Do these b@lls have a dishy body attached? :inlove:

Turned out a pretty good year for us really. Was going to fully retire in August but they asked if I would stay on part time. As I work from home anyway and with Covid being as it is I've carried on working Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Not only that but as I work on a laptop I can do it anywhere there is a good wi-fi connection, so been doing a lot of UK touring.

Happy New Year to all Funsters and let's hope 2022 is on the up!

funny story about that. Back in my 20s I was one of the lads, we were always playing practical jokes that got out of hand. This one night, one of the lads blocked me from getting to the bar before him. I reached round and twisted his nipple and he dropped to his knees letting me through. Half an our later he was at the crowded bar and an arm reached through the gap behind him. As payback, without turning he reached down and gave the person with said arms balls a huge squeeze and twist. Problem was, it wasn't one of the lads, it was just another older guy that was at the bar

You’ll be creating a few memories for others if you grab anything else by the balls Janine, but hey….:xThumb::xeek:

We have had a great year. No international travel but we did tick a lot of boxes for exploring in this stunning country.
With all the walking I dropped 7 kilos which pleased the doctor which meant a good tweek in my tablet regime (type 2 diabetes ),
We even managed to do some work this year which has given the travelling fund a huge boost.
He's to a fantastic 2022 and getting on with our lives in a fun fashion.
See some of you this year on our travels 😀😀😀.

Many thanks for everything Jim and may I wish you and all your family a Very Merry, Happy & Healthy New Year! Cheers! :wine:

Not forgetting all the hard working Rally organisers, backroom people and Funsters that make Fun a pleasure, Good Luck for 2022!

We were having a good year until the last couple of weeks.Very sadly our boxer dog , meggy, took poorly and died 12 hours later. This was on the 23rd, Christmas day my mother was rushed into hospital, still having tests and waiting for the results. Worst thing is no visiting due to covid. Then on the 29th the mother in law was told she has cancer, seeing the consultant on Wednesday.
We hope and pray that they both recover, and 2022 can only bring good news
