It's all the EHU cables he's carrying taking him overThere’s a lot on here don’t care either
In fact there’s a distinguished member on here running his new van overweight He’s even tried fitting lithium and victron stuff to try and get the weight down
Yes, that's why I put 'It depends where you are stopped'....I'd hope that if there was a suitable drain, they'd let you use it (you'd maybe have to explain that it is NOT toilet waste and the drain would need to be a mains one rather than a rainwater drain)I'm saying if you're weighed and need to lose some weight and you've not been on a site would PC Plod allow you to dump waste water on the road or is that fly tipping/dumping?
Yep was at the NEC show today I mentioned payload to the wife she had no idea what it wasThe really sad thing about all this is that the vast majority of people that do not belong to this forum have absolutely no idea of payload or the possible consequences of not staying in their payload limit.
Some people tell me "it's just clean water" why wouldn't PC Plod not allow it?I'm saying if you're weighed and need to lose some weight and you've not been on a site would PC Plod allow you to dump waste water on the road or is that fly tipping/dumping?
Weighing when full is the only way, even if you are under the plate weight you may still be well over axle weight especially on rear.

Maybe they will maybe not which is what I said. Some people tell me "it's just clean water" why wouldn't PC Plod not allow it?
I'd love to see those people add a bit to a wee dram, or drink a pint of it.....Some people tell me "it's just clean water" why wouldn't PC Plod not allow it?
Out of interest, before I filled the new Van, (Carthago, absolutely lovely by the way and no rattles ) I took the opportunity to weigh the items in the old van and also added items that some folks carry and others don’t in an attempt to make a comprehensive list.TBH neither do I, that said i’ve added 3 large solar panels with 3 Victron controllers, a multiplus 2, removed 2 SuperB 95ah batteries and replaced with 2 x 280ah Fogstar.
Thule 5m awning, Truma Aircon, EP leveller’s, spare wheel, 2x 11kg Gaslow,
2 recliner chairs, 2 collapsing chairs, Windbreak,10 ltrs Adblue, and other bits n bats
But I still can’t get all that to 1180kgs which is the difference between 5000-4220 which is what the Rapido supposedly weighs

I was once stopped in Nottingham at night driving a car by a police patrol to tell me that my offside tail light was out and that it was illegal and dangerous, therefore I must fix it before driving on. He said that if he saw me drive off without a working light he would ticket me!!! I always carry spare bulbs, so easily fixed. But he was intent on making me call out breakdown assist or leaving the car in a layby and walking.....So, if you have a bulb out (or a worn tyre), you have no insurance cover? I think that your argument may be flawed.

Wow I had mine done last year for £1,000 but not tag axle. The cost to have semi air fitted
You really weighed that lot?Out of interest, before I filled the new Van, (Carthago, absolutely lovely by the way and no rattles ) I took the opportunity to weigh the items in the old van and also added items that some folks carry and others don’t in an attempt to make a comprehensive list.
Going back to basics I know but might be useful if you add your stuff to it.

I did when I unpacked the old van using luggage scales. Well apart from the water and the passenger !! The joys of retirement !!You really weighed that lot?
I suppose you could have swapped the dead offside for the working nearside? Maybe would be considered safer?I was once stopped in Nottingham at night driving a car by a police patrol to tell me that my offside tail light was out and that it was illegal and dangerous, therefore I must fix it before driving on. He said that if he saw me drive off without a working light he would ticket me!!! I always carry spare bulbs, so easily fixed. I did same when I got van.. weighed van then weighed every single item ( and recorded) before putting in van ... then added everything up...You really weighed that lot?

Why would you even ask?Would they allow you to dump waste water?
come to spain .1€ certified weighbridegs everywhere. diy with printouts dted ,timed & with the certification. want to cross check any builders merchant will usually allow you to weighI know both of ours...cost me all of about £20 for two trips to the weighbridge. (Another amusing aspect of ownership....hearing people with £75k MoHos moaning about £25 for a trip to get weighed...
Very true.I didn't know until last week ,that here in spain if you self fill at an attended service station you can be fined by the Guardia as you cannot legally do it as you have had no training. As I always said to my apprentices you don't know what you don't know.
I doubt that they would even know if it was ? I've never found one that even knew the correct rules for transporting waste :As a hazardous waste licence holder they have no idea.I'm saying if you're weighed and need to lose some weight and you've not been on a site would PC Plod allow you to dump waste water on the road or is that fly tipping/dumping?
As above why are you even talking to them.It isn't anything to do with them that you are lowering the weight legally.Maybe they will maybe not which is what I said.
There's plenty of them about.I was once stopped in Nottingham at night driving a car by a police patrol to tell me that my offside tail light was out and that it was illegal and dangerous, therefore I must fix it before driving on.
