This is the most depressing thread on FUN.

I was really jealous of the pitstops when they set off, but reading all these weather reports I'm going from "should we give it a go next year" to "it's not worth it unless we trek all the way to Morocco."

Better to be sat here miserable and dreaming of the summer than sat there miserable growing webbed feet.
 
Some people ( me included ) retain the right to be miserable wherever they are.

Well Brian, we are sitting outside in the sun & it's 13 deg :Cool: No web feet here so I know where I would rather be. How much snow have you got?

Morning all,

The sun is shining, after days of rain, preceded by a week of driving through snow from Calais all the way down to Evora.

This is our first 'Snowbird' trip, and whilst the weather has been extreme, we'd still rather be here than stranded in the snow and ice in Yorkshire.

We're currently in Portugal, near Lagos and the temperature is about 16 degrees.

Happy days!!

-6c thats shorts and t shirt after the -20c we had on are trip south in Kassel

Wow !!!!

What a wild night last..ferocious winds, but luckily no rain !! The sun is coming up as I type and not a cloud in the sky. Temperature at the moment is 13 so it looks a good day for the start of the fiesta.
Just been outside, my bike on its side but not where I left it, the bike cover will have to be looked for as will a pair of Crocs...What Fun !!.....:Rofl1: :Rofl1: :Rof

Update !!
Just been out looking for lost items...Crocs found 25 yards apart from each other..but no sign of the bike cover !!
Awnings down all over the site and one caravan skewed round off its steadies !!!!!

:Sad: Gale force widns yesterday afternoon and into the evening. Damage done to some items and groundsheet ripped up while we were out with friends. Everything back to normal now. No wind, 15C when we got up this morning and the SUN is shining bright with clear skys. :thumb:

Dammmm........ After the wind and rain here in Spain during the last month we are back to the norm, fine, bright and sunny......:BigGrin:..............and where am I off too?........gloomy UK :Doh:

Still not all bad if I can work out the very minimum number of days I need to be there.

Tell me about the high winds yesterday. Only moved 200 miles from Peniscola to Cap Blanch took us 7 hrs. The main awning decided to deploy itself all over the AP7 carrageway what a mess luck nobody was hurt. Police their straight away very helpful. Never mind arrived and woke up this morning to bright sunshine 16 degrees Joan
 
What a lovely morning 8,45 am clear sky's and getting a lot warmer Inland from Alicante hope it lasted :thumb:
