Context is everything, here is one way of you do not have W3W readily at hand, the operator knows where the person is standing that ask for rough compass bearing most smartphones have one already built in….Job done no W3W required. and let’s not forget the person making the call still has to open the app and speak the three word and give an approximate distance and bearing for where the fire is from them both will work.

Wow that’s the first time you have admitted that W3W will work. Why do you not like it? It is very useful for my everyday work as well. Even down to being sent the W3W location for trees marked up for felling in the forest. Where incidentally there are no post codes or roads or buildings or even any land marks just miles of trees with a few fire access tracks. How your AML could help there I don’t know. Perhaps you could explain how AML could pinpoint a small area in the forest without the person marking the trees being there at the time they are telling me where I need to be?

You need to write nothing with AML

AML according to you knows where the caller is. That’s not helpful if the incident isn’t where the caller is.
