Washing up liquid .....how long ?

We use fairy liquid, normal green one and pretty sure the 400ml we are using at the moment we brought around January 2018 when we went into a house for an assignment, took it with us then into the van, still about a quarter left so will last a while yet.

Mum always was trying different brands and she'd get through them in a week, saying that she now uses Fairy but says it doesn't last long either, was round there the other day and when she went to wash up there was this almighty squeeze into the bowl, it was like one of those scenes you see in the clubs that have the foam dance areas, no wonder it doesn't last them long. I do feel that some of the older generation are still in the mind that you have to use loads of any washing liquids to do anything, its the same when they do the clothes washing.
A normal bowl of washing for us would need a drop of Fairy around the size of a pea.

On a separate note been having our washing done at our parents whilst back in the UK at the moment and they still are of the mindset that everything has to be boiled to buggery at such high temps to get things clean, you'd think they are trying to wash the plague away, mention a 30 minute wash program and if looks could kill.........
Yep a little goes a long way

A little dab'll do ya. Or even less in a soft water area.

When the shower gels are classed as empty by the rest of the family I can usually get a few more showers out of them. Although when the boys were teenagers and I was still working I made sure I didn’t use Lynx on work days otherwise the very traditional Sherborne folk might have thought their “lady doctor” was going funny which of course is terribly politically incorrect but that’s what a lot of them were like. Still are mind you.

Our Fairy bottle is the original one bought nine years ago. The contents have changed, ’cos Management buys huuuuge bottles at the cash & carry and I just top it up. Changed the top a few times, ‘cos the hinge on the cap breaks after a while. But, it’s still the same bottle. :clap2:

I said that I would get back to you ref washing up liquid 847 drops in our bottle of FLiquid = 847 washing up chores?

I made my first , very small, batch of solid dishwasher soap and although it could do to wait to harden it works brilliantly. Also works as a sink and worktop cleaner and no plastic.
