Waldegraves Essex Winter Meet 22-24 November 2013

Darrell and Zoe have asked me to book them in Gail.. They will do the grub too..

As soon as I have a pitch number I will post it up :thumb:
 
Nemo and co are now booked, but they stuck us right over the farthest piside numbers 297 and 298.
Gonna ring them back tomorrow ( rang them at 16:45 and they had closed ) and try to get us moved

Hog roast can be paid for either on arrival or over the phone.

Sunday lunch/dinner is paid for on the Sunday. We just need numbers so that they can ensure we are seated either together or near each other and so that no funster is turned away with the words "apologies but we are fully booked"

I want to join in the fun on this weekender but can't find any reference to anyone else going. Rang the campsite Waldegraves and they seem to know nothing about it. Anyone out there can explain. Maybe I am doing all the wrong things on this website. Not really an experienced user of such. Would like to know I wont be alone thought. Cheers
 
No idea why Waldergraves would say they know nowt about it.. Phone them back and tell them you wish to book for the Funster meet on November 22nd to 24th
 
Sullew, as Jaws said give them another ring. There is quite a crowd going so I think you have have got somebody not up to speed. The magic words as above are "Funsters meet" and failing that, mention Gail who organised it with them ( check out the pitches available if you have a chance so that you can be reasonably close to the rest of us - which may or may not be a good idea:Wink:

Whatever you do, don't not come!! It is a good get together - we knew nobody last year and had a great time, being made to feel as welcome as we wanted. See you there - I'm the gorilla with the nice wife and a mad but friendly thieving dog :thumb:

I would suggest do not pay for an awning as if its extremely windy it might be a waste of money. We can always sort that out over the weekend.

the pitch numbers that have been allocated to Motorhomefun are 231 to 280 and 281, 308-312

The awning on your motorhome can usually be wound in and out and not charged for. If you attach sides and privacy rooms etc leaving it out permanently then they would usually charge you.

Yes, you can arrive any time really, but you will still have to fone Waldergraves to get booked though :thumb:

Of course you can arrive on the Saturday, its up to you how long you book for the site will be open all week and the following weekend has their end of season bash (it gets very packed).

I spoke to Holly as you advised, she was well aware of who we were but had to be put right on charges, quoted £40, 2 adults and dog, but no charge for Funsters dogs I said, ok she said, make that £36, I went back to her stating 2 x £16 is £32, she had basic price as £18 so watch out any late bookers.

So £40 down to £32. So thats the Hog-roast paid for !!

Looking forward to meeting everyone after the long 19 mile haul to get there!

Waldegraves have apologised and will rectify this for you. If you have booked online you will have paid a higher price.

Of all things one of his uncles is being buried on the 22nd down in Kent so will not be able to attend :Sad:

Well, I'm up for the kids karaoke competition and the bingo. However, I'm too old for the bingo and too young for the karaoke:Wink:

Maybe go drinking instead.......... Mulled wine machine on the go, Gail? Am bringing supplies for top up :Smile:
