Hi everyone
Please read all of this, I know its long but it includes important instructions for booking and if you dont follow them you may end up in a separate field away from the funsters.
THIS MEET includes a HOG ROAST with vegetarian option laid on by Waldegraves especially for MOTORHOME FUN. Unlike other years it is not at the same time as their end of season bash so it will not be so crowded. Additionally you can opt to arrive earlier and to stay for a longer period than just the weekend of the meet.
Those of you who attended last year will agree that it became a little too crowded for comfort so Waldegraves offered to do something the week before to accommodate Funsters. I do hope lots of you will come along
The meet is being held at Waldegraves, Mersea Island which is just outside Colchester in Essex.
Waldegraves website is:
http://www.waldegraves.co.uk
Pitch prices £16 per night which includes 4 people. extra people charged at £3 per night. .
Dogs charged at £2 per night each.
Awnings charged at £4 per night.
The HOG ROAST is £4 per head for adults and £3 for children. You may be able to pay this when you book or on arrival in the restaurant.
Check in is after 3pm
Latest departure time on Sunday is 3pm however I am trying to negotiate a 4pm departure time.
gate deposit if you need it will be £10 which is refundable providing the access key/card is returned.
Everything is nearly the same as last year but here are some details for anyone attending this meet for the first time:-
We CAN meet/greet and barbeque in the sink area - providing we leave it clean and tidy. You are welcome to bring some cakes or cookies or something and all get together. We will put the barbeques up both for heat and you are welcome to cook on them.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be in abundance and you are welcome to extend your stay too.
If the pitches are too wet we can use the roadway in the centre of the touring field and the car park by the toilet block instead as long as the exits are not blocked, so bring long electric leads just in case.
The Funster weekend starts Friday 22nd November to Sunday 24th November with
Friday evening -
Meet and greet with mulled wine
We dont go knocking on vans but aim to meet from 6pm so just come over and say hello.
We will bbq and eat in the open air, everyone is welcome to join us. You are welcome to bring food and mulled wine and soft drinks to share. We will probably move inside into one of the venues to enjoy the entertainment at some point.
