We have a 1997 peugeot boxer. How do we pay the ulez in ireland?

Just checked my 2019 Autoquest 175 and currently (until they shift the goal posts) it can go into all the LEZ/CAZ but
not London.

That is what you get with devolved government: just like USA where each State can set its own Income Tax, Sales Tax, Gun Laws, Abortion Laws, right down to 'turning right on a red' - which is chaos round Washington DC where

one can be in Virginia within a block.
The Republic of Ireland is very much an independent country. Six counties at the northern end are devolved got from UK. Thankfully no border visible or passport checks from one to the other. Speed limit signs in North are in mph. In the south kph. £ in the north and € in the south.

If they do away with oil, what about the knock on affect regarding clothing, (most of the fleeces, jogging pants etc) & lubricants . Are the big companies going to think it worth drilling for a much smaller share of the market. In 10yrs, is that long enough to build enough Nuclear but cause, in THIS country, it's no good relying on wind & sun? 🤔
Who said anything about abolishing oil?! I'm sure in 10 years - should we be spared- I might well be still putting a very much more expensive diesel into my tank & travelling curbed numbers of miles as a result- but not in the soon to be very many areas where diesel vehicles won't be able to enter- that is going to happen. Hasn't in Ireland yet (relatively small population), but Ireland likes to be ahead of the game - smoking ban anyone?!

I am starting to put hvo in my camper. Slightly more expensive but cleaner emissions. (Recycled vegetable oil)

But tangential threads bring up so much humour and stories. Just like sitting in the pub with a group of mates, bodhráns at the ready....

Which reminds me - having endured several nights of amateur tone deaf folkies in our local - ‘what’s the best way to tune a bodhrán?’

With a Stanley knife!

Not the Scottish LEZs either. Those are flat out bans, and you can't pay to cross them. Unless you count the resulting fine as payment...
