TyrePal Offer

I have also emailed tyrepal to ask for a forum discount ,we'll see if they reply .

I purchased a 6 set from Snooper and they to work extremely well. They are all probably made by the same Chinese supplier and encased differently. Bit like the badging on many motorhomes.

Did anybody get a reply from tyrepal ? . I emailed asking if they were interested in giving a forum discount , obviously not .

OK , will take a look at what snooper have to offer .

Emailed snooperdirect.com at first who have emailed back and redirected me to the snooper distributor , so let's see .

Wow! All this technology and yet I've done about a zillion miles over 50 years by giving the tyres a kick now and then without any technological help and amazingly! we just keep rolling along.

Now £75.00 on eBay:

A set for 6 wheels about £338 from tyre pal so why not buy 2 of the £75 ones put 4 on the rear tyres 2 on the front and perhaps 1 on the spare ?? it would be 2 monitors but they are quite small

Know this posting is almost a year old, but I started the thread and thought I'd report on my findings.

Totally agree with Littlewheels above but when you're traversing a Moroccan desert road it's comforting to know that something is looking out for you. There have been a couple of stories of blowouts doing serious damage that might have been avoided - and I say might because sometimes you do get no warning.

Downsides? Fiddly if and when you need to change the pressures, although of course you don't need to do it so often..... Was surprised at how the pressure changes as the tyres heat up, more than the instructions would have you believe so I've had to change the warning thresholds to higher than I would like, but that may be the consequence of using winter tyres all the time. The instructions don't make any mention of this.

I'm a believer!

I have decided to buy tyre pal! 3 new tyres whilst driving around Portugal, one a double rear shredding probably caused by dredded potholes and losing air in one tyre till the other got so hot it probably delaminated and exploded! 5 hours on a bend with no sodding tyres on a Saturday night not recommended, however, can't praise the Portuguese GNR highly enough, stayed with me until Recovery got spare wheel on rear and 5 mph and flashing light escort for 10 km all the way to Nazaire, a bloody good reason to carry a spare wheel for all you doubters, without one we would have been b*lloxed!! Or at least there for most of the night till they found a recovery truck big enough to recover us!!
