Any suggestions for a tyre compressor//inflator capable of inflating tyres to about 80psi ?
I bought one from my local motor factors yesterday described as heavy duty suitable for 4x4's and motorhomes, rated to 150psi.
Used it this afternoon and first tyre the air hose blew a hole in it.
Ended up with less air in the tyre than I started with.

I have a Ring 900 as mentioned by others, good piece of kit but never used since I bought a MAKITA LXT unit. So much easier to use.

If you already use the Worx Powershare batteries then the cordless WX092 Inflator is excellent. It tops up each of my MH tyres in about 30 seconds. Very easy to use for both MH and car. I still have the Ring 900 but haven't used that one all year.

I have one of these.

Makita DMP180Z 18V Li-ion LXT Inflator - Batteries and Charger Not Included https://amzn.eu/d/135jhNU
Me too, they’re great for the bikes as well, seem to go on forever with a 6Ah battery

MICHELIN High Power Tyre Inflator Pump Electric Air Compressor 12V Display 12265 https://amzn.eu/d/1Ydmk2G

After returning a Ring “heavy duty” inflator that stopped inflating after a few uses, I got this. For over a year, it’s been flawless.
Seems this unit is for limited press -see picture 2 note on the box….

I’ve just tried the Fiat compressor that came with my Burstner - it blew the cigar socket that’s intended to be used, so the std kit would be useless in an emergency!
im going to try the unit using crocodile clips from the engine bay terminals next: hopefully it will do the job. Tyre pressure specified as 80psi/ 5.5bar.
Ducato owners should be aware!
Mine does that if I turn it on when connected to the tyre, ok if I turn it on first.

It won’t of been Amazon’s fault your account was hacked.

If I had an account hacked, I’d create a new account with them, use a strong unique password and enable 2FA
Yes it wasn't Amazon's fault my account was hacked.
However it was Amazon's total lack of customer care that made it take over 4 months to get my money back, nearly £7k.
And Amazon's fault that their fraud team wouldn't talk to me.
I won't deal with them on principal now.

Just bought one of these. High airflow, high voltage. Disconnecting from tyre is very positive, no air loss. Cordless. Rated to 180 psi. Preset your required psi, cuts off when reached. £65

I use the T-Max heavy duty compressor, which I’ve found to be very good inflates to 80 PSI no problem.

I recently brought a dewalt air compressor that takes the XR batteries which is very good, i also have a ring rac compressor which i have never used and with the dewalt now here i am unlikely too. Will put it on the classifieds where i can be bothered as i know both have very good reviews.

I have a mains compressor with a 100ltr tank at home so always do the van and car tyres with that. When we are away as now I have a high power cycle track pump which I use-takes LOTS of pumps but will inflate up to 130 psi which should be plenty-it has a decent pressure gauge built in-and no need for crocodile clip connections…..🤣

DeWalt, as mark and mindy advised, excellent piece of kit yes a little expensive but works off mains, 12 v cigar socket or purchase an alternative battery and charger from eBay and it’s completely portable you also get connections for air beds bikes and other inflatables, you won’t be disappointed I’ve used other fairly expensive compressors in the past but they haven’t lasted long and there’s no comparison.

I recommend the Airhawk pro, easily cope with 70 PSI, need to check the tyres after with a good gauge. Runs from it's own battery or from the cig lighter socket. Have had one for 3 + years now. Same as the Autder inflator used by Martist above.

Purchased several of the so called heavy duty compressor’s, the ones I purchased didn’t last to long and certainly didn’t reach the stated pressure as indicated on blurb! This one definitely does!!

I also found this out. Blew the 25amp fuse on a sprinter base, the local mercedes truck dealer had the fuses and they seemed well aware of this. He also warned that some alarms get wired into this supply. The foot pump came out.

I have had a Ring RAC900 Heavy Duty for about a year. It does the job quickly and reasonably quietly. The pump has to be attached to a 12 volt battery with crocodile clips. This can be a nuisance for some and simple for others. My Ducato battery is stuffed in a corner and the "terminals" are a nuisance to reach. But I consider that nuisance worth it.
I have a pump similar to the ring but double cylinder. I connect it to the jump start terminals under the bonnet as the batteries are inaccessible.
Also have the von haus rechargeablewhich is fine for most purposes.

The Vonhaus is amazing for its size and price, it can easily pump a trye up to over 70psi. I pumped a flat Motorhome tyre up to 49psi before the battery gave out and it comes with a 12v connector as well.

Have rescued a few people at our CL with a Vonhaus and pumped-up tyres from flat.
Also pleased with the above device which I think is better than the Vonhaus, time will tell.

That one is no good, only 55 litres, which Equals to 3.8 Bar = 55 PSI, he said he needs 80 PSI, that would Equal to 5.5 Bar = 79 PSI

That would be be useless, as it is only 12 litres?
Litres are not the unit of pressure.
Bar (or psi for the olduns) are pressure units.

The RAC900 can inflate to 6.9bar / 100psi
