Tyre Condition

Got a tyre that the van system says is under inflated. I tried to get it to 80psi using a petrol station air service but it wouldn’t beep.

I also noticed some crazing on the tyre wall. Is this an MOT failure? See pic

Audi A3 is car not a motorhome, so it's not so Important what you fit on a car that's only a fraction of the weight ! ! !

If you look through my posts, I am a bit of a tyre nerd.

I have been buying them for small fleets for 30 plus years .

I have fitted Michelin Alpin winter on 3 motorhomes and 2 vans. Most of which have been great.

But just want to make a point oh how shit these German Manufactured Michelin X Cross climates are.

Will also be reviewing them on tyretest

I also shop around (a lot) for the best deals.

Definitely an Mot failure if tester notices, but sure he will, normalky inflation and sun will cause cracking

Thats how they came from the motorhome seller and they did the MOT on the day we collected.

I suppose they didnt look too close as they were selling it

I can get facyory Michelin Agilis 225/75 R16 CP for £135 a corner fitted, new valves and balanced, so £470 a set !
Done 5K on mine from new in Jan 2023 and still like new, they get slagged off but they are doing really well all round Europe through the mountains, above clouds, and very wet roads without any problems with grip etc, can only speak as I find.
Guy's name is Lucas, he's based near Stoke on Trent Halmerend Tyre's P.s. Tyre was for a spare to identically match road Tyre's, was dated within 6 month's of manufacture.

Halmerend tyres are great, 4 new michelins at great price, I’ve put a lot of work his way.highly recommended
