Truma Inet & GSM SIM

Not sure if anyone is still watching this thread, but I recently had to phone Voda to get the SIM card set back up. According to the lady I spoke to, if you don't use it for - get this - an 'undefined amount of time between 6 months to year', they switch it off and wait for you to call and get it re-instated. Once you have done that the switch off is then done after only one month!! I asked her to repeat it and apparently this is the case, regardless of how much credit you have or haven't got on the SIM.

Oh and don't forget the sodding PIN like I have done.

I find it works OK. We have the Truma Combi 6E (gas and leccy) and the small Truma aircon unit and it works both of them.

Correction! The reason I forgot the PIN was that there wasn't one.

Well I read the instructions for installing the SIM card and read insert the mini sim in the slot provided. Already knew there were three sizes, so inserted my micro card confidently into slot provided.
Bollocks it’s the wrong size , should have a standard Sim fitted. Had to dismantle the box to retrieve it again ?

Hi. Just read your post on retrieving sim from truma I net box. Have same problem. How did you get it out? If you remove screws on back will that access it? TIA. SQUIFF.

Yes I had to dismantle it, but I believe that someone managed to retrieve it without doing that , in an earlier post.

Thanks for the reply. Took apart and managed to retrieve Sim. Thought that was mini sim but obviously is standard sim!!??

Truma call it a 'mini-SIM' which is the correct name for the size of 25 x 15mm SIM card.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM_card
However, just about all SIM card suppliers these days refer to this size as a 'Standard SIM'

It's very easy to get confused between mini and micro sizes.
Thanks for that update on sim card.
Answers my question really.
