Timing belt replacement.

Mine was changed at Adams Morey, probably about the same time as LennyHB. Similar price as I recall. It was jammed solid at the beginning of this week when I went in for MOT.

Just been quoted by Adams Morley Fiat 2.3 150 hp Comformatic A Class the 4 years large service and Comformatic fluid change £751.92 inc vat. Cam belt and auxiliary belts £808.93 inc vat.
booked for September to coincide with the Damp Check at Southdowns. Found them very helpful and reassuring. Although the van is 4 years old Sept, we hope to get the 6 month tourist visa for next year so although you can stretch to 5 years for the belt subject to use playing safe. Remember this is for our van other models and makes could be different prices.

5 years is the standard interval for the cambelt.

And to make you feel better had mine serviced by my Local in dependant Lancing Commercials they used to be good but I have gone right off them and won't be using them again.

Last time it was £280 including brake fluid change, this time without the brake fluid change £402.

What really peed me off was I asked what the front pads were like, guy who did my van had popped out I'll ring you later. When she, she said he didn't look at them. It was also obvious the wheels had never been taken off.

Still got to spend £90 at AM on clutch fluid change.
If Am do all they say they do on their website for a service it doesn't look such bad value.

Is there a recommended time scale for clutch fluid changes? I know with Brake Fluid, it is usually every 2 years (that is the schedule I go by anyway) but never considered any service intervals for the Clutch?

With a Comformatic 2 years, I only recently found out about it, my van is 6 years old and never been done being rectified next week.
Simon service manager at AM told me about it, he runs a Comformatic and changes his annually.

Hi Lenny, I appreciate the 5 year belt interval, but as we will be travelling to Portsmouth for our annual damp check, and our local Fiat dealer when we booked our van in for its first 2 years service when we went to collect it I was told nothing to pay. When I queried this I was told as you van has not done many miles 5370 it does not need servicing. We had to re book some three weeks later to get it serviced and they still didn’t change the brake fluid and shrugged when I asked if the Comformatic fluid level was ok. So no faith in them so Adams Morley it is. As we hopefully next year will mix the 90 days and the 180 French tourist visa we will be away when the 5 years belt comes up and I would sooner have the belt changed at 4 years as the van will be in the garage anyway rather than miss it. Well aware the belt change is not an exact science but sooner rather than later knowing my luck.

Cheers!
must be a quirk of the semi-auto/robotic gearbox I guess?

You could have a holiday in Germany and have your cam belt done for a lot less M W Faurhtechnik Wetzler Germany
