THIS week I bought

Strange because I had a free trial on Now tv entertainment and cinema pass over Christmas and the entertainment again in March to watch the final series of Game of thrones.
Also interesting if you try and cancel a pass rather than renew they offer the pass at a reduced rate for 6months.

An offset bend at screwfix for the princely sum of £2.79 fits in the water fill point perfectly no need for three hands now when filling from containers 112 degree bend . 🥸

We tried it for a weeks free trial.
Cancelled and got it for 5 quid a month for 6 months.
Must admit though the Disney + is really good.

A wheel step, so that I can reach the front skylight to clean the sealant around it!

2kg of prime chicken fillets for £5 on reduction ... 2 days in and we're sick of eating chicken already!

Can't be doing with 3/4/5 blade razors, just a ruse to charge a fortune for them. I like Cien twin blades, used to get them from Lidls but no longer. Just bought double pack on Amazon, keep me going for a while.

Very recently, I bought..............

2 x new garage door gas struts @300N each.
1 x new side locker gas strut @ 220N.
2 x new drop down bed gas struts @ 1900N each. :whatthe:
Fitting the latter two struts looks like a nightmare of a job :( due to restricted access, as they need to be fully extended for removal and fitting.

2 x Kamala Cargo Retaining Bars, which will be used with the aid of a ratchet strap, to secure our bikes to the wooden rack, and prevent any forward movement when travelling. A Fiamma or Thule bike rack, wasn't a practical option.

Once adjusted to the closest height/width required, the bars are then locked in position, with finer extension adjustments being applied by twisting the bars clockwise, until the required resistance is achieved. (y)

Got this for SWMBO to match mine that I bought in Sutton on Sea last year.
Also bought a journal for our trips in Smileo.

Ha ha Brian. You wouldn't do well on The Krypton Factor. 😆
Check out the clear plastic box with the grey lid. ;)
There's a couple in there with your name on them pal. ;) See you and Joyce soon. (y)

I recently fitted new struts to my bed, as you say struts have to be fully open. I did mine but afterwards looking at the Hymer brackets , it looked like you could support bednon dash and remove arm and then rather than lift whole bed , just lift bed arm.(ignor black bar, that a tool I made to help put strut back on pin)

JockandRita be careful with those bars you can exert tremendous pressure turning those screw threads.
Thanks berni. :) Yes, I have used similar inside fridge/freezer trailers, and know what you mean. These are a bit like Acrow Props in the way that they adjust.
I'm just applying enough pressure to retain them in position. The upper and lower surfaces are about an inch thick and solid. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Thanks for that Manic. Much appreciated. :)

I've saved that photo, and will refer to it when the time comes to do the job. (y)
Re the drop down bed in our old Hymer, I thought the struts needed replacing, until I read about the 40lbs torque which should be applied to the nylock nuts, (which I replaced). The bed worked a treat after doing those. :)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Mine had sloppy nut and bolts, which I replaced nylon nuts on and I uprate the struts from 1700 to 1900.

What licence do you need for that please?
I’ve got a full motorcycle licence but if you have a full car licence and take a one day CBT you can ride it on L plates. There is a lower power version that you just need car licence and L plates.

I have full motorbike licence, but thought that it did not cover these. Has the law changed to allow electric bikes now?

Would be interested to know weight, power, range and cost.

It’s 100kg (with removable battery), 40mph and 50 mile range….not huge but enough for us to get to places from pitch then back again. Just shy of £3k OTR.
