Collected Mark's new "toy" yesterday, the weather wasn't the best for photos but at least the snow was thawing :)

wot no A frame?

Goodness where do all those wires go,,last time i fitted a radio it was pos/neg plus the speakers,,,BUSBY:D:D

It's not as bad as it looks. They supply 3 harnesses to cover all eventualities. They supply 2 main harnesses but you only need 1 main harness that suits your particular plus on the back of your existing unit which match the existing connectors. The 3rd is a auxiliary breakout harness if you want to go bonkers connecting loads of devices to the head unit. You have the got the GPS antenna, external microphone and a couple of USB ports on the back which to one I have connected the DAB+ radio gubbins. It's a pretty good bit of kit for 250 quid delivered.
I loaded the motorhome version of CoPilot and the European maps on it last night and that appears to work ok.

Where did you find that?
Is it Android?

Yes it's Android and it came from a Aliexpress seller who has a warehouse in Germany so no import duty or vat. They do a 8 core processor version but that was a bit more than I wanted to pay.

I probably speak for a number of people on here who would love to know how you get on with it once fitted. (y)

Interesting Simon. Are they available in the UK?
Think so, probably by some other name though, don’t want to get them though unless someone’s used them particularl6 on twin rear wheels!

you may struggle with clearance on the 16 inch wheels in the wheelarch

is it called a tasty toaster? ive got one that i can recall being in use late fifties mum loved the ideaal home show so i assume it came from there ours is round and mostly used to make egg sandwiches are delicious
I don't know but it's very old. .....

A growler alarm and a tracker. Big shout out to Vanbitz who were totally professional from the start to the end of the process. They couldn't have been more helpful and their handover was considerably more thorough than our dealers! !

After fitting the new Android head unit and giving it a quick test run I decided to splash out more cash and download Copilot Caravan onto it along with a few other goodies.

@Neilfg was asked for a few details and thoughts on the unit so I'll give it a bit of a test drive over the weekend and report back ...... I do like a good gadget. :)
