I believe so. I wouldn't have a fiat auto but I'd have a merc one

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to remove the microwave just because generator isn’t working at the moment, you know it works.
Could it be a broken wire that shows up when it’s in place or a kinked fuel hose.

I wouldn't be changing anything till next year anyway now.

Only reason I was thinking of fitting a bigger one was because I can get a 1000w renogy for £100

The next size up 2000w is over 200 quid.


I can buy a nearly new smev oven right now for £180

Not sure I'd use a slow cooker , I make soup, stew, curries etc in an ordinary pot for all the time it takes.

An oven I'd use for pizza, croissants, baking fish or cooking chicken etc.

Microwave ...OK for frozen meals etc but not much else.

Airfryer would be nice but I can get a small 800/900 watt one of those.

I know we have a high power availability but I found the remoska and the air fryer great pieces of kit for a motorhome. Especially the air fryer.

We have this air fryer from QVC (as well as 2 others) as it came with extra stuff and pizza setting for £200. this can do Pizza, toast, pasta rice slow cook, sear, saute prove bread virtually anything. Thinking of getting another for my house in Ireland and doing away with the cooker. Only trouble for you is 1780 watts. £189 from QVC outlet.

Annoying thing is I have a tower airfryer and one of those small tabletop grill and oven things at my sisters in storage.

So I will most likely manage fine for now and sort these things out next spring when I'm back from Europe.

At the minute I live on soup and crackers n cheese anyway lol. I'll be making tajines when back in Maroc and I replace my tajine that got smashed in Turkey.

Renogy sell thousands and they work fine... and others

I keep seeing problems with comfortmatic boxes but can't say I've seen many complain about the merc autos.

But I prefer manual anyway .

You don't want to run an inverter at or near its max really ie a 1,000 watt inverter being run at 900 watts.
I personally don't go above about 75% of the inverters rating ie a 1,000 watt inverter I wouldn't draw more than about 750 watts.
I would get a 2,000 watt inverter and be done with it.
That will run most appliances, such as a1400 watt air fryer or microwave, not at the same time obviously.
And claimed appliance ratings can be well off.
For instance I've just checked a mates 900 watt microwave, to size an inverter for him, and it actually draws 1,200 watts according to my shunt so as he also wants to run a 1,400 watt air fryer, which actually draws 1,450 on heat cycle, I've advised him to get a 2,000 watt inverter.

When Tam bought Renogy B2B & inverter for Moby I said to him they can be a problem if things go wrong and quite a few reports of failures but it's so cheap you can afford to throw it away.

He is living in this van full time with no home base I would have thought he would want to fit decent stuff but he prefers crap.
