Stop telling everyone, they’ll all want an Indian off me!!!He did the same with me
I think he pretends to be a tight Yorkshire man so they don't throw him out of Yorkshire.
Why anyone with a Motorhome would want to live north of Guilford is beyond me, too far to the channel ports.
Don’t think you have got away with it, he will hunt you down all over Europe eventually
Yes most diesels would have had an engine ecu since early 90s, they would have been a lot more basic than modern engine electronics and would have used analog sensors rather than digital.Would a 20 yr old vehicle have an ECU?
Always found Yorkshire women to be very generousNah he hasn't ... but the dogs have!
You think so? You need to meet more Yorkshire women!
Hey what about me with the flat cap and whippetHe did the same with me

Good luck spending that where you live, Lenny HB.Oy, watch it you there is a load of your stuff at my place, I might take it down to the charity shop.
And why is there a flipping Scottish fiver in my wallet, only one place it could have come from.
Only asking as a female.Of course.

Not on a 2001 Fiat Ducato, no ECU on thoseOf course.

Not true. I just asked my friend, born in Scotland, brought up in Yorkshire and now living in Scotland again.Copper wire was invented by a Yorkshire man and a Scot fighting over a 2 pence piece
Are you sure Manic? Our 99 Ducato 230 based Hymer E690 had one underneath the front passenger seat. It was an alloy box type effort, with a big plug going into the side of it.Not on a 2001 Fiat Ducato, no ECU on those

Cheers,
Jock.
Clearly not electronic fuel injection, as it was mechanically injected, but certainly other aspects of engine management surely, eg, key codes? They are definitely discussed on the Fiat Forums. What would that control
for youWe will go for a test drive tomorrow.. I’m staying positive
I think you'll find it does. Not on a 2001 Fiat Ducato, no ECU on those
Lots of engine bitsWhat would that control
No control under my seat and there’s nothing for an ECU to control on my 2.8idtd engineLots of engine bits
So yours isn't the jtd?No control under my seat and there’s nothing for an ECU to control on my 2.8idtd engine
The jtd is direct injection and needs an ecu.So yours isn't the jtd?
CorrectThe jtd is direct injection and needs an ecu.
The older one is indirect and that can't be chipped or remapped etc so probably doesn't have one.
The jtd is an iveco engine.
Didn't realise yours was old enough to not have the jtd .Correct
