To a 5t clear floor 2 post vehicle lift , working on my mates race camper ( air suspension)

The genny appears to have a fuel pump (the square alloy thing with 3 pipes). If it is a pump it works off induction pulses via one of the pipes. Try feeding fuel directly to the carb from a container above the engine. If it turns out to be the pump they can be serviced with a new diaphragm.

Yeah the fuel tank on this is level I think but will give that a go as the can obviously isn't. Although it was pissin fuel out from the pipe near that square bit the other day

That’s working fine, I can see fuel gets into the carb… cleaning the carb today the jet was definitely blocked…

As long as you are not intending to park overnight, (not that I have any experience of trying to) this time of the year, except half term, you shouldn't have any problems.

We used to take 40ft coaches through there and stop for a photo shot with the goats

So many people look at ours and say words to the effect of " must be difficult to find spaces to park that" and then I watch them try and reverse their PVC into a space and all becomes clear

We can usually find a space where we want to stop and we re better off than most because we have so much room inside we don't have to find a place with outside space - or with facilities because one of them can't use the loo while the other is still in bed, or can't wash their hair in the campers shower because there's no room.

Yes, on SfS I ignore the symbol that suggests that it’s unsuitable for larger vehicles and look at the reviews. If a reviewer with a small(ish) vans says that it might be difficult for a larger vehicle I only take note of that IF there are no reviews from users who have a large vehicle. If a large vehicle reviewer doesn’t mention difficulties with access then it’s potential site for us.

Yes I agree . I've taken big vans plenty places a lot of smaller vans won't attempt. There are some places I wouldn't take this but they're few in comparison

Admittedly I will be a little more cautious with this van than I was with moby as i put a lot of tree and gorse scratches on moby last year....but I had planned to have it painted and it was a much cheaper van. I will be reluctant to scratch the hell out of this one as I just got it looking really good. A guy at the tyre place the other day said he thought it looked new so it obviously looks the part .

I find CC review are accurate, one a couple years ago said not suitable for vans over 7m it will be difficult to get out.
So I thought I'm only 7.5m it will be fine they was right, easy to get in, getting out was an absolute barsted put a dent in the awning.

I've another electrical issue to investigate now.

So despite wiring in my TV sockets etc a few weeks back I've not used the TV as I was still working my way through a series I'd downloaded on my tablet .. I finished that the other night so last night I thought I'd watch a movie on the TV.. plugged it all in and just as I was selecting a movie the bleeding control panel switched off . Now the TV stayed on as did the led lights that I wired in around the cab . Both of these were fed from cables that were in the wardrobe from the old satellite boxes and TV wiring before. One set of pos and neg ran all the way from the wardrobe to the original TV above the cab so i had used that cable to fit a USB point in that cupboard and my led lights are powered from that. That was all good no issues. The TV was from another pos and neg that was previously powering either the satellite dish or the box or something. And TV was still on . But all other lights , control panel etc had gone off. So u switched control panel back on and the battery voltages were reading this

Obviously they weren't correct as my fogstar app said this

So I went out and had a look in my electrics , I decided to remove the fuse from the battery balancer which will trickle charge my starter battery from the leisure battery . When I did that my TV went off and the standby light just flashes and a clicking like a relay could be heard coming from the electrics boxes . So I just unplugged the TV etc . The control panel would then come on , stay on and voltages back to normal .


So obviously that pos and neg wire I used for the TV is not right someplace. I don't know exactly what it was plugged in to before as I removed all that old satellite dish , boxes etc from the wardrobe.

But the wiring that was used for the TV etc obviously was by passing the electrics box or is on a different circuit.

So I'll need to disconnect that and take my power for the TV from someplace else.

Complicated this electrickery stuff lol


The battery maintainer thing I'm not too sure about as it seems to want to keep the starter battery at the same voltage as the leisure battery . Problem being my lithium leisure battery sits around 13.3/5 volts constantly and the lead acid starter battery should really only sit around 12.8v . It takes a few amps out my leisure battery constantly if it tries to keep the starter battery level.

So I have the fuse out of that at the minute . I'll see how my starter battery copes without it. It should be fine hopefully.

Satellite dish motors are often wired to the starter battery with an auto retract.
I would rewire your sockets back to the CBE distribution unit.

Starter battery at 13.5v is not a problem if it was on a charger it would be floating at 13.5 to 13.8v

Yes that could be it . I think the original TV wiring comes from the cbe unit as that TV was in here from the factory. So I should be able to connect in to that in the wardrobe.

Once I've rewired TV then I will put that fuse back in . I'll have to watch how much power it's taking though as I don't want a constant drain on my leisure battery for no reason. I'd have thought once it got to a certain voltage it would switch off.

It's not. The one that was reading 22v is the car/starter battery ...the other is the leisure battery.

I think when confused the control panel goes haywire.

On the genny carb, have you taken apart the fuel tap and cleaned the filter in the bowl below the tap, the tap has a rubber insert that acts as the gasket with port holes for flow and stop, it's not uncommon for the holes to be obstructed by the rubber swelling, not allowing full flow when turned to the on position.
