The Joys of Benidorm!

I love curries but have struggled to find a consistent good one. Ann's not so bothered and will just have a starter, so I used to get the 3 item special takeaway for about €5. Eastern spices used to be good but went down hill after new management, had a couple of nice ones from Kebabish but then Ann got some chicken pakora that must have been 2 days old 🤢. For the last year we've been on Kohinoor but the last 2 starters Ann's had she said were salty (I liked them though) one of the items can be chips so she might have them next time.
I can’t remember what the one we went to was called. It would have been top on trip advisor though because my wife swears by that site

With Boris struggling to convince the Brazillian President to send us some christmas turkeys plus the fact you probably wont be able to cook a turkey even if you do manage to get one because your oven wont work, I'm looking forward to my Beni xmas dinner more and more.

Love the Corner Bar ,,, they do a lovely Friday fish meal (go small . it;s enough) and there Sunday dinner
the value at the Corner bar is great but for sunday dinner then the Yorkshire Pride a few doors up, for us, beats it, proper home made everything and plenty of it 👍👍

We went to Napoli curry house tonight very nice as well (Chris second in trip advisor or so I am told) (y)

This is one of the bigger pitches down the bottom, it's quite empty down there and you can probably have as much room as you want. They're not strict about it like in the UK, park where you want, how you want, nobody cares 😍

Can I ask which site this is ?

La Torreta.
It does occasionally flood down at the bottom after heavy rain though. Not too bad in a motorhome because you can move 👍
We have only ever stayed at Armanello.

have you ever stayed on Villasol behind Torreta, it’s where we always go tbh and like the tiered levels, nice views looking at the back of Benidorm and round into the mountains. It’s got a very nice bar/restaurant and lovely pool area and close enough to walk into old and new town areas.

€20 dropping down to €15 for longer term

No dogs allowed but that doesn’t affect us tbh

Al 👍

No Ann doesn't like the back lane walk at night. Also we heard you have to take your own sunbeds up to the pool?
Used to be more money too 🤔

Also Mas y mas is handy here (Ann likes the cakes 😂) and all our friends are here too, got to know loads over the years, they aren't all here all the time but it's great to see them again 😊

Do you mean the walk down from opposite the Tropical bar, we don’t mind that tbh and theirs always both of us or more, but I’ve heard before that tbh.

Yes friends are good to have as well, me especially I love to natter and socialise wherever I am. Don’t get me wrong I love my wife but like the interaction with others as well, it makes it for me 👍👍

The walk from town centre at 1am she doesn't like, even though it's quicker for us slightly. I like the pool at Villasol with the grass round it and it's handier for the Market. That reminds me, she wants to go again tomorrow 🙄😒😉

This site is an old olive Grove, some of the old trees are still here down the bottom and usually make a mess this time of year as they just drop off and get crushed.

We were talking to an old ex-pat woman in Albir last year and she was saying she stopped at Torreta camping 30 odd years ago when she first came here, apparently back then the site was run by the council with no swimming pool, It's actually the school that owns the land and it's long term leased.

TBF I wouldn't dismiss Benidorm out of hand but there's nothing been posted here, or elsewhere, that would tell me it's a place I must visit...
...plus there are so many other destinations to visit first.

I only managed €17.00 for this coming winter and that's for over 90 days. I'd be interested to know who quoted you €15.00.

Me too, it was always more than Torreta that's why we came here originally. Even Raco is €1 more for the long term price.

No one has mentioned the star of Villasol (well as far as me and my little pocket rocket mate Pauline quickweh are concerned) - The Handsome Argentinian Stallion - Julio! Keep Fit, Aquarobics, Zumba, Salsa, Spanish Lessons, his talents are legendary - and all free!

Anyone on any sites where someone is letting their caravan/chalet? Please let me know as I’m asking for mum. Thx
I found one for sale on Torreta . It’s an American 5th wheel .

Does anyone know a singer called Pablo Bloom? We randomly got into watching him online during lockdown. Very entertaining!
