Go to Nottm,,there is a stabbing every day,,mind you it's improved because 5 ýears ago there was a shooting every day.BUSBY.

Had a police escort out of there once in convoy that was fun and rather exciting the funniest part was it was a 40mph and my wonderful colleague when the motorbike cop pulled along side and mentioned him to go faster he held up 4 fingers shook his head and mouthed 40 The cop could not believe it Memories of one of the kindest people I have had the privilege to meet

Used to work there 1996 -1998 in all the Coop stores fixing the fridge systems. I managed to not get shot (Shottingham )

That's why we live in the south of Spain, rather than up north in the likes of Beni or Velencia! Though, to be fair, we will start needing some rain soon as its been a long, long time since we Iast had a significant amount.

Where is this green interior to Andalucia?
The green that I have seen is trees in the higher areas and olives, which require irrigation, all over the place.
Almeria province is home to the only desert in Europe and you don't see much evidence of green there, it's like a barren moonscape in places.

Well I found southern Andalucia very green,fields of wheat and other crops,,The hills behind Costa del Sol and inland from Conil and Tarrifa quite lush.BUSBY.

I don't hate to see other people enjoying themselves but what I do hate is people telling me to 'enjoy myself''

In my 72 years on this planet I have decided through experience how to enjoy myself and this does not include singing, dancing or fancy dress.

The hills behind Costa del Sol and inland from Conil and Tarrifa quite lush.

The weather here in the south is predominantly driven by the high pressure over Africa. That said, there is an influence from Atlantic lows as they track north eastwards from the Azores up past the UK. Their trailing cold fronts brush the Peninsular bringing moisture laden maritime air. As this hits the land - and the hills and mountains you mention - this air needs to rise. As it does it cools, it condenses and gives rain on the westerly side of the mountains and peninsular (hence why most of the hay we buy for the horses comes from over past Tarifa and they can breed those fabulous retinto cattle for that absolutely superb steak you get here). This moisture gets dropped quickly, and as you track eastwards towards Almería its drier and drier. Pretty well the same mechanism that give Ireland all the rain, and makes the west coast of the UK wetter than the east (and the east colder as it is more influenced by dry, cold, polar air streams than the warmer, wet, maritime ones from the west.

We stayed in an apartment just off the road of your first picture.

As we walked up the road there was a huge sign that read “ SEX SHOP” and our front door was just beyond it.

Not great when you have a 10 year old with you.

It was a dodgy sex shop too - no I didn’t go in.
