The Glorious 12th

Looking at fields end web site it says unable to accept over 28 ft long is it a case of you ring and ask at booking if they will take you ?

North East for me from Wednesday: 4 days at Dunstan Hill, 4 nights at Beadnell Bay and then heading towards Boroughbridge for a few more days. Clothes are already in the van so just food to add - can’t wait!!

Just near Peterborough, about a 4 hour drive for me but looks nice.
Adults only has its own cafe that opens evenings also plus a few pubs down in the local village and plenty of walking trails around.

Couldn't make it up, I’ve driven past there, this morning!!

Nowt booked here until June, but that’s my fault for taking on so much work. I’ve about 12 to 15 courses booked in to teach before then. Maybe we’ll get away for a night or two but I’ll wait for pubs to open inside first. I’m not sitting outside in the cold and wet. Plus I’ll avoid weekends as too busy then.

You know where your going then😁😁
Yesterday swmbo got proper stressed due to being home so long, so this morning I woke her up early and took her for a drive we took the scenic route from Northampton to Lakenheath and Snetterton before going to see a mate in Bedfordshire.

Passed this site and mentioned we should look it up.

going away, me, in a few days, but need to got to check something in the van which is in storage, am imagining the road, single track, to storage, will be a bit busy, see a few, mainly caravans, have gone already.

I am of course referring to our motorhomes being released from captivity on 12th April, not the start of red grouse shooting on 12th August.

Tomorrow we set off for a booked CL not too far from home. Thereafter we have further bookings that take us from Dorset to Northumberland. Today feels like the last day of term with a long break to look forward to. Adding a few miles to our underused second home with wheels feels long overdue.
FREEDOM DAY

We will be watching the traffic jams all over England on Google Maps but heading out a week later

Our son said there will be motorhomes waiting until one minute past midnight then there will be a mad rush to get out.
We are only going as far as Norfolk but we are allowing a bit more time to travel rather than dashing about. Once we get South of Boston it’s fairly good roads most of the way. Lunch at Sutton Bridge is about the right distance before a break. We might call at Hunstanton if we can park or Brancaster beach. We are not planning on moving the motorhome until Friday when we come home.

Good luck to all of you getting out and about. Don't envy the potential traffic jams.

Hoping we will be booking into a hotel near Heathrow after lunch...............that's if they let us on the bloody plane in a couple of hours.

Have fun all.

Currently on a night shift and just done a run down a few junctions on the M5.

Loads of motorhomes on the roads! Awesome. :-)

Snowing here in London - just the right weather for a £6:50 pint of beer and a £15 burger outside my local pub 😏

Going close to my daughters on Thursday Southwater which is in Sussex, she just texted that its snowing heavily. Oh well. I travelled to Sutton on Sea when the lockdown ended last July, hardly any traffic, dont suppose this will be any different.

It’s a 2 week jaunt around west and north wales, might set off soon, or laze around to mid day.

(Luckily motorways are non-existent over here.)

Also moving our motorhome to a new storage location which we missed getting into because of lockdown which has 24hr access ...

Stay safe everyone 🥰

I'm going to sit at home and watch the live traffic cams on the M4/M5.
The madness has started 😂. M5 at a standstill already 😂

M4/M5 junction down to WSM (ish) can be a bit stop/start at the best of times.
