The Glorious 12th

I know this stretch of the M5 well.......travel very early morning or very late night. (y)

Watching the gas company dig up my drive at the moment.......we’re going nowhere.

With the weather this week I'm glad we waited until next week. We're off a week on Wednesday to the CM site in Littlehampton, hope the weather picks up by then.
I wish everyone a great time on their first trip out this year.

Busy here...

Just near Peterborough, about a 4 hour drive for me but looks nice.
Adults only has its own cafe that opens evenings also plus a few pubs down in the local village and plenty of walking trails around.

I am booked here for a few nights at the end of June. Looks really nice.

As full-timers, we have been 'resident' at Alderstead Heath with little or no new arrivals for a couple of months.

Yesterday, and particularly today, a raft of full-timers have been leaving and a steady flow of funsters arriving, meaning a new vibrancy has hit the site

We hope everyone, wherever you are heading, has a safe and timely journey and you all have a wonderful stay.

Was surprised to see so few had moved from storage today. A few though, like us fettling for a move off soon. Hope they are all going for the weekend on friday let me get away in peace before then.
Hope those on the move are having a good trip. Nice and warm in the van in the sun but about 4 outside

Nice short drive to nice CL near Sherbourne, Dorset. One other visitor so far. Very few signs of activity at storage site when we left. Good to be out again with different views to enjoy.

North East for me from Wednesday: 4 days at Dunstan Hill, 4 nights at Beadnell Bay and then heading towards Boroughbridge for a few more days. Clothes are already in the van so just food to add - can’t wait!!
Stayed at Dunstan Hill last August/Sept very nice spot. We couldn't get on Beadnell Bay so stayed at Budle Bay site which was a bit rough and ready. Knaresborough C&MC site has the loos open like most of their sites from the 12th.

Normal service resumed on The Llyn Penninsular :giggle:
Roads busy around Chester and on A55, lots of caravans and motorhomes escaping across the border, but very happy this evening

Harrogate for us from wed for week. Ths, walking cycling and a lovely town to boot!
If you're staying at the site at the showground, it's busier than usual around there as it's the site of a large vax centre for many North Yorks areas. Loads of roadworks going on too. Centre has become a bit of a ghost town with about ten well established businesses gone - GAP, Greenwoods, Swarovski, Debenhams to name a few plus one of the big 4 star hotels has gone. Hopefully the bars & bistro's in the side streets with their al fresco dining areas will liven thing up again.

A glorious 12th for us. Couldn't have been better

Unfortunately that's it for now. Our Hawes booking was the last of 8 days in Yorkshire. The rest didn't happen!
