The dark bowels of a toilet cassette

Yippee a toilet thread.
I understand that Jim’s working on an update to the site that will provide Smello-Vision! Can’t wait.

We have three, now that’s a sh*t job when they are all full! 😳

Think we all need to switch to this…..

I wouldn't worry about what is inside your cassette, its what's at the empty point
.....as I have just emptied mine on a small site in France.... got to the drain, lifted up a slatted lid to see the back end of a very large rat, I slammed the lid down and turned on tap, then poured contents out....I think I might get a knock on door from RSPCA.:unsure:

How do you identify which version of the Putin Box you have? There's no identifying marks on it, just some serial number.

Oh and I just a look inside. Nasty. Needs some industrial caustic soda, a Black and decker, and an NBC suit.
Is that the new name for it "Putin box " love it 👍😁

We’ve got used to having two cassettes, can be quite handy sometimes.
We also use a lidded bin for the toilet paper, paper takes up too much space in the cassette!
With a SOG there’s no smell and only Bio liquid used when the weather is warm!

Thanks for all the comments - mostly funny and some helpful. I'll have a look on Youtube.

The reason I'm interested is there are times when I don't manage to fully empty all of the contents and end up twisting this way and that to get the last bits out (and yes I am pressing the pressure button). If I could visualise the internals I'd be more efficient/successful on the first attempt and avoid the occasional shoe splash.

I'm currently building some compost toilets for my glamping site - which is rather interesting. Most (80%) of the volume of toilet waste is urine - which is why the cassette in the moho fills up so quickly. And also why it smells or people need to treat with chemicals. A good compost toilet with urine diversion doesn't smell.

And all of this reminds me, thatt I will definitely DIY convert to black tank this summer as I've been meaning to for three years now. In our recent trip all round France I didn't find a single emptying point that I couldn't have managed to empty a pumped black tank into.
