Oh what an adventure your having Honey. I've loved finding your thread this morning. Some of us humans can only dream of a trip like yours. I'm putting you on thread watch alert so I dont miss what you get up to. I hope you don't get sunburnt by napping in the sun, maybe get your humans to buy you a cap for your head then you can be a real sailor.

Hello it’s me again
Thank you for all your lovely comments about my thread
Last night my humans let me sleep on their bed because they thought I might be nervous on my first night on the boat. It was brilliant! I could stretch out and touch both of them at the same time. So I did I didn’t sleep very well though as they kept saying things like “For God’s sake dog”, “You’re on my legs” and “give me back the duvet” very loudly and moving me, but each time I quickly crept back to find a comfy place between them I didn’t get them up at 3am though as I was so comfy.
They told me we were going for a Very Long Walk this morning which was fabulous news as I haven’t had many of those recently
When we got there I wasn’t impressed as my humans had taken me to a V E T ( I have to spell it out so they don’t understand what I’m saying or they’ll have a fit of the vapours about the effect on their bank balance)
Anyway the V E T was very nice, even though he stuck two needles in me (they seem to like doing that). But it was ok as I was given a handful of treats for being A Very Good Girl . One of my humans then talked to the V E T for AGES about something called a passport but I got bored so sat outside with my other human.
Anyway I now have one of these

Which as you can tell I’m very excited about.
Later one of my humans took me to a cafe where the waiter gave me a cup of water to drink

It was delicious

When we got back I went for a lie down with my other human as I was exhausted again

This is me walking across the plank on the way to find my humans some dinner this evening. It’s easy once you get the hang of it.

There was a very threatening kitten at the place my humans ate this evening so I had to shout a lot and very loudly to protect them from it

But it didn’t run away as I expected it to which was disappointing
I’m going to bed now as it’s been another exciting day and I’m exhausted
I wonder what exciting things will happen tomorrow

So far I’ve been taken ashore and performed there. There’s a roll of something that looks like grass in one of the aft cabins so it’s possible that may be brought into play when we aren’t connected to land.

Hi everyone
I’ve had a brilliant day
It started when I presented one of my humans with a toy while she was still in bed and we had a lovely tugging and rough and tumble game.

Then I went for a long walk with my other human and met one of the local lads who was very keen to be friends but my human shooed him away my human thinks he wanted to be more than friends but I don’t know what he means

Later I met some lovely humans called Toady and Tracey who I liked a lot

After they had left I was taken to the beach where we played a brilliant game of stick throwing and retrieving

I got very wet

And now I have to stay on deck until I’m dry which I’m sad about, but it’s nearly dinner time so I’m looking forward to that!

Good evening everyone
Last night we went to my humans’ friend’s restaurant again which was really brilliant and he gave me more scraps of cooked chicken I do like him a lot.

This morning we left Preveza town quay and drove over the other side so my humans could collect something they’d forgotten from the mobile kennel
This is me supervising them sorting out the little boat called the tender, which I helped them fix the other day

I slept in my favourite place for most of the time we were moving

But I did wake up in time to check out the amazing smells in the Lefkas canal

Which reminds me, I saw a mobile kennel tucked into a lovely spot under the fort at the top of the canal.
When we got to where we were heading, I was exhausted so went for a nap with one of my humans

My humans tell me we are somewhere called Vliho bay

It’s brilliant here
We’re on something called a pontoon and apparently they are going to eat in the restaurant at the end of it later. I might not be able to join them though as it’s not warm enough for them to sit outside this evening
I know they’re worried that I might not behave if I’m left on my own but I hope I’ll be able to prove them wrong

Yesterday was another brilliant day
But before I tell you about it I need to let you know that I was a Very Good Girl on Friday when they went out for their meal . I do want to be good but sometimes can’t quite control myself but then I am only 9months old.

I found this picture from Friday which you might like. It’s me and one of my humans while we were in the Lefkas Canal, I think she’s explaining something to me, possibly boring stuff about the direction of buoyage, or the history of the canal, but I don’t remember because I was watching a dodgy looking seagull which may have needed shouting at soon

Anyway, yesterday morning I had to protect my humans from a ferocious sea monster which suddenly emerged right next to the boat and scared the bejesus surprised me a tiny bit so I had to spend quite some time barking at it to make it go away.

My humans tried to explain to me it wasn’t dangerous, only something called A Diver, which is just a human in a black rubber suit with tanks strapped to his back but I wasn’t taking any chances, well you can’t be too careful with creatures which emerge unexpectedly from the deep, can you?
After that I was on guard duty while they did some jobs on the boat, which started like this

And finally this

The responsibility is exhausting

At lunchtime we walked into a place called Nidri and my humans had some lunch.
I kept them safe while they were eating

Later, one of my humans started a fight with some string. Judging by the language I don’t think it went well and the string was lucky not to have been thrown in the sea!

They tell me it will stop me from falling over the side once it’s in place. But I don’t think it’ll be done any time soon

I don’t know what’s happening today yet but I know it will be just brilliant

Hello everyone
I’ve been having a brilliant time
The yesterday we motored to a place called Sivota which is in the south of the island of Lefkada.

I was very interested

Especially when I saw some mobile kennels parked on a beach

When we got there my humans took me to a beach. We had a brilliant stick throwing game and I had a lovely swim

But I wasn’t allowed to go downstairs for AGES until I was dry which I don’t think is fair.

One of my humans got the rolled up grass out and laid it out at the pointy end. I helped.

I made use of it this morning and my humans were extremely pleased and called me a Very Good Girl again .

They did some more fighting with string today and now half of the boat is netted so I can’t fall out of that side

I got quite bored while they were doing that and had a long nap guarded their shoes

Later I decided I wanted a fight when we got back to the boat after my humans had foraged for their dinner

but soon I was distracted by the cats on the quay

Apparently we are going to another island tomorrow which will be brilliant I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow

Good evening everyone!
Yesterday we travelled to an island called Ithaca and for most of the time the noisy smelly engine was turned off because we used flappy things called sails instead! It was brilliant
Before we left I went for another swim. When I arrived back at the boat I was very wet and wasn’t allowed on until I’d been hosed off and dried with a towel

I saw my humans keep looking at the sails so thought I’d better keep an eye on them too. I’m not sure what I was looking for but I wanted to join in.
One of the humans kept playing with ropes which looked fun but I wasn’t allowed to join in with that

I was very excited when approaching our destination of Vathi, as you can tell
Today one of them has been doing more fighting with string; the string appears to have given up, but they missed a bit which I enjoyed watching the fish through for a while.

I made friends with one of people from a nearby boat. His name is CJ and I like him a lot

My humans are talking about leaving me on the boat when they forage for food this evening as yesterday I kept trying to chase the numerous cats which had the temerity to venture into my line of sight. Apparently that’s not a good thing, especially when it results in drinks being spilt
I’ll be sad if that happens as I like to be with them all the time, but apparently it’s good for me to be on my own sometimes
I think we’re going somewhere else tomorrow ; wherever it is I know it will be brilliant

I think Honey should teach our muttly Paddy about walking planks. The stile with a plank on top yesterday was a challenge. He only got one foot on it and went splay legged. It was a challenge with me at back end and management hanging on to his harness handle from the front.
We were talking about our past narrow boat holidays and couldn’t see muttly lasting long before he fell in the cut if we tried it again.

Reminds me of our different girls and boys we loved (over 40 years) and took on lots of adventures too. Like you we had lots of fun and games and great times and wonderful memories to keep.

Good morning everyone!
Well the other evening didn’t go as well as it might have as while they were out I discovered a plastic mosquito screen which had been inadvertently left within my reach and obviously needed chewing .
Yesterday we left Vathi on Ithaca and used the noisy engine to get to a different island called Kefalonia.

I found the journey very exciting as you can tell

When we got to a place called Sami we all went for a walk to the beach and I got to have a really brilliant run around after a stick and a swim

I was rinsed off on the way back to the boat

Later my humans went to forage for their dinner but didn’t need to go far as there are several restaurants on the quay where we’ve parked the boat, so they chose a table only a few feet away.
They left me on guard again but I’d much rather have been with them

Eventually I settled down but missed this pretty sky .

This morning I thought one of my humans was going to share her breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, honey and cinnamon but apparently it was just for her humans can be very selfish

I’ve heard them talking about the beach so hopefully we will go for another charge around and swim later That would be brilliant

I was given the rabies jab by my own vet in Tenby and was given more than 21 days before my AHC was completed.
My EU passport was completed by a vet in Preveza who had been recommended by someone in the Cruising Association.

Hello again!
We did go for another charge around and swim on Friday which was so brilliant that I wanted to take the stick back to the boat but wasn’t allowed to when we got there

This is the harbour and our boat is the closest one you can see. My humans say it’s very quiet at the moment and the wall will be full in a few weeks time.

My humans went out without me again but I was a Very Good Girl and had lovely cuddles when they got back

Yesterday we used the noisy engine to go to Fiskardo which is another place on this island. I was especially comfortable here

I watched the fish while my humans had lunch. They looked fun but I was told I couldn’t play with them humans are such killjoys

Later one of my humans was in something called a hammock so I lay underneath it guarding her

This morning we found another beach and did some more brilliant stick throwing and swimming

Here are some nice plants which my humans liked

We’re staying here again tonight and going somewhere else tomorrow. I don’t know where but they’re talking about Anchoring In A Bay and using the tender, which I haven’t been in yet.

I don’t care where we go as I know it will be just brilliant

We didn’t go Anchoring In A Bay in the end, we stayed in Fiskardo until this morning, but it was brilliant because I was taken to the beach several times, played more fetching games and did lots of swimming
I like watching the anchoring chaos what’s going on from the pointy end

But it’s very tiring

We went for a long walk

I’m getting better at posing for photos
We also visited a Roman cemetery

I was quite tired afterwards so slept across the path while my humans had a drink

This morning we had to use the noisy engine to go to another island called Kalamos. I spent most of the trip like this

Apparently this is a very nice beach and I will be running along it later

I can’t wait, it’s going to be brilliant

Good afternoon from sunny Kalamos!

We've been here for two nights and it's been absolutely brilliant
The beach we saw on the way in is amazing with very clear water, perfect for running along and chasing sticks into.

Although sometimes I lose sight of the stick and have a general swim around looking for it, which makes my humans a bit worried that one of them might have to come in after me because at those times I forget all my recall training

I liked this particular stick so much I wanted to take it home but wasn’t allowed humans can be very mean

We’ve seen some interesting buildings in and around the village

My humans tell me this is particularly interesting

It’s boring having to stand still to be photographed in front of some pretty scenery

And one of my humans keeps taking pictures of flowers which I don’t understand They aren’t at all interesting because you can’t eat them, although the yellow ones do smell very nice.

Talking about eating things I’ve discovered a different tasty snack! There are lots of delicious morsels on the road which my humans say some things called goats have left for me. I’m not supposed to eat them but they’re everywhere and very tasty

This is one of my favourite toys, it’s a wooden root which I’m allowed to chew!

It was quite windy last night and the boat was rocking around a bit and making some strange creaking noises, but I was A Very Brave Girl and stayed in my bed.
Oh I nearly forgot to tell you. I fell off the plank decided to take a late swim at the back of the boat yesterday evening
I tried to get out of the water onto the quay but couldn’t see how so the human who was with me pulled me towards the back of the boat and helped me back on. Which was a shame because I was really enjoying it no I really was ….. Anyway, she rinsed and dried me off and then made me go backwards and forwards over the plank a few times. She seemed to think it had been an accident and I might be frightened of going over the plank now humans can be so silly.

Apparently we’re going to another island tomorrow. I haven’t been told where yet but I know it’s going to be just brilliant
