The cheapest lateral flow test for pre-departure I've found are both £29 per person:
Via video/photo: https://www.c19testing.co.uk/rapidtravel/
Or these people if there's a test centre convenient to your location: https://www.dam-health.com/

For day 2 tests on return, the cheapest I've found so far is £49: https://dantelabs.co.uk/ However, these people have terrible reviews so it might be best to use them only if you are willing to quarantine. We're happy to do that, and just use them to get the code to go on the passenger locator forms.

I saw this too in MSM but here is another link …

Crossed into France yesterday just in case. Now starting to think about the test for the tunnel, does anyone know how long the test in the french pharmacies take to do?

thanks

I have just decied to bite the bullet and would like to go to France this weekend. I am nervous about getting the right test-

So, as I understand it the £99 PCR test can be done 72 hours before departure and the £29 antigen test can be done 48 hours before departure- is that correct? (I think it is, but do not want to commit to the expense of a test and ferry, to then find I have booked the wrong one and denied boarding)

Yes that's the (current) French rules for fully vaccinated people arriving from an "orange" country (source: https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/c...virus-advice-for-foreign-nationals-in-france/)

Has anyone had any problems with the type of astra zeneca jab they have had, according to official site, The French authorities are still only accepting the EMA AZ jab when entering France "Only vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will be accepted, i.e. Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen)".

Yes just get the antigen test 48 hours before you that's what I'm going to order as well for the 31st. I'll wait and see when we are over to get a test for coming back and I'll worry about the 2nd day return just before we head for tunnel. That'll be the expensive test after the government take their cut😡

Surely if it's a 2 day test required by law then this company is obligated to deliver the result with the the stated time. Not your fault if they don't.

Is that the one you've previously mentioned?

Yep that's what we're thinking. But we're happy to quarantine if needed if tests don't arrive. Just don't want to get fined 😉

Does anybody know when and if France are considering putting UK on their green list ? I thought they were looking at this possibility soon.
If we then put France on green list then tests would not be required.
Could/will this happen?

Remember you need to log the info of the day 2 test on paperwork before your crossing.

Youve booked your 2 day test before you leave to go to France?
I take it you've seen the reviews and news articles about expert medical?

if youve had two jabs and have letter or app you dont need a test to go tospain from england
You do if travelling through France
I would strongly advise against using RT Diagnostics for your day 2 PCR test, theres a whole Facebook page devoted to issues with them and I can speak from bitter personal experience. I paid £50 for the day 5 test to release test (on top of the £85 for the day 2 and 8 tests), relying on the day 5 result to catch my flight back to Portugal. It didn't turn up as promised by them, so I had to pay a further £60 for a last minute test at a pharmacy 2 hrs before my flight was due to depart, not a happy bunny. They are listed on the UK Govt list of test providers although, when I complained, was told that yes although they're listed none of the providers are endorsed or recommended....beware!!!
Always pay with a credit card then claim it back for non supply/ if the test kits aren't there when yo arrive/ iff the reults are not supplied within specified time.Etc;

Yes.
Where have you seen this please?
Anywhere you look by now.
Could/will this happen?
I'd say it was extremely unlikely.

Hi Had 2 lateral flow tests at a pharmacy and it took 30 minutes for the test and paperwork yesterday. 29€ each.

The 2nd day after return test must be pre ordered and the info given to authorities before you get crossing OUT.
How good they are, we are unsure, but spoke to someone who had a good experience with them, and to be honest, I don’t care. I just need the test numbers to put on the paperwork to be allowed to leave, once back we can sort any issues.

I can’t see anywhere where it says you have to book a 2nd day test before you leave the UK. Can you send a link please as I was going to not book that until my return in case things changed in the 6 weeks I hopefully will be in France. I thought I’d got it all sorted in my head if what to do 🙈

What test did you need for entry into France from Spain, and any checks made?
