We’ll be passing close by Refugia del Viento when we leave here on Monday, might call in and pick up a few dogs

Wish we could, but one dog and the two cats who decided we had rescued them are more than enough in a small van. The dog’s no trouble, but the cats!

Lol had to edit my last post. I wrote 5 miles instead of 5 minutes. I'd be fair tricket if I could walk 1 mile never mind 5!
There was me looking up to you.

We look after daughter's Springer for 4 days most weeks when we are home.
Only manage 3-4 miles often over the downs. It's not the distance but the time it takes out of your day when it's not your dog.

Made a mistake one day, walked over to Devils Dyke for a pub lunch 5 miles, then found out buses only run at the weekend so 5 mile walk back.:)

It's not that small.
It is when two cats are hissing and spitting and chasing each other around, and the dog’s in a panic as a result. And when I try to sort it out I get a lacerated nose and there’s blood going everywhere.

Admittedly, it’s not always like that. The dog is currently asleep at my left, one cat is asleep at my right, and the other cat is asleep up in the bed.

Tam. Just been chatting to Sylvia. I've called you a friend (much easier than trying to explain a forum contact in Spanish:LOL:). She remembers you .... oh yes, she definitely does .

I've told her loved Jade is. She's certainly fallen on her paws with you :D
She should remember me lol I have her as a friend on Facebook

Some Interesting observations as I've been driving through france the last 4 days , I've not seen one police car, no accidents, no breakdowns, I've passed around 20 speed cameras ...all have been covered over with heavy black plastic taped on. Some places still have their Christmas trees and decorations up. It's as cold and wet as the UK in January. Fuel is more expensive than the UK.

The speed camera’s being covered or painted is the work of the yellow vest I believe.
You occasionally see the police doing spot checks but no you don’t see them as much as the UK and they don’t tend to have fancy cars, just little Renault vans.

Heating has been working fine now I think it's probably a voltage issue, not sure the relay is charging the leisure batteries as much as it should be. But I suppose I do have heater lights etc all on when driving just now so that might affect it's output. I'm not sure.
Last night wasn't too cold so I never used it at all last night

Not convinced on that one. I also have a 2.8JTD X244 based van, with 200amp/hr of leisure batteries. They seem to get charged up very quickly when I'm driving, regardless of lights etc - the alternator output seems well up to handling it all. Doesn't help you a great deal I know! Electrical problems are the worst, without question, especially intermittent / "not working quite as well as it should" ones - a total failure gives you a fighting chance to find the problem at least!

Aye you could be right....it needs investigated but I'm wary of pulling things to bits when I'm relying on them right now. Need to pull the electrobloc out and check the wiring to it etc.

So I'm in poitiers now .....just in a carpark with camping car spots by the river.
It was dry when I arrived so we went out for a walk by the river and true to form we got soaked as the heavens opened....I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy.

It's quiet enough so going to stop here tonight.

If it's any consolation it has been peeing it down south of Alicante today. And I've ran out of gas :(

Good to hear Mum's putting weight on (y)(y)(y).
As for your heating , you're from the East coast of Scotland , you shouldn't need heating until it's at least 5 degrees below freezing:D:D.
Have another great trip.
John
