just been looking at booking the tunnel , prices seem to have shot up this year ....cheapest i can get is £135 plus the dog charges....pretty sure it was £102 plus dogs in december and £112 when I went out in January

I dunno like ...the cost of dogs have gone up too ...now £20 each and they dont even do anything with them on the outward journey
So for a 5.20pm crossing on Saturday its £172 compared to £136 last time
Would have preferred earlier crossing but next price is £150
Ah well ....you're only getting 2 pints now

I booked last week out on Sun 27th back Mon Oct 26th £232 with C&CC 10% discount could of saved 10 quid going on Monday and another 30 quid going late evening.
Got to be at dealer on Tuesday, going on Sunday so we can top up the much depleted wine stocks on Monday.
I wanted to go South for some warmth but Mi doesn't want to quarantine when we come back so going to Germany & we can come straight back. Hopefully they will bring in quarantine for Germany then it won't matter where we go.

I tried for Friday initially but cheapest i can get is £145 plus 40 for dogs ...Saturday is a bit cheaper for some reason but its a late afternoon crossing ...
Haven't booked it yet ...not sure how many stops I want to do in England as it looks like there's lots of local lockdowns happening and I need to avoid those areas.
I'll stop over Tuesday night around berwick , probably one other stop somewhere Wednesday night and then if you want a visit I'll get to yours Thursday sometime. So Friday or Saturday seems best for tunnel.
I planned to head straight out of France thougj probably aim for tournai belgium first night which should only be a few hours drive.

Damp check and replacement door blind, blind was changed last failed again. Out of warranty but they are doing it anyway.

Not compulsory to visit us and it is a bit out of your way.

Aye i know its not compulsory just thought id pop in on route ...also trying to avoid Dartford crossing as I always forget about the bloody thing ...nearly got fined last year lol.
But because of covid etc I know folk might not want visitors etc so thought id best check

that’s what I have , set it up and forget , I was worried there was something wrong as money never came out
but 4 days later it was out , I think it was because it was over the weekend (2 working days )
