In other news today I was making my fridge vents ......got them built and fitted in the frame ..ill wire them up tomorrow

Are they meant to suck cold air in or the hot air out? View attachment 415136
Mine are on my top vent and suck air out,,work well,,BUSBY.

Are the fans fitted the wrong way in your picture , the fans I have used would have been the other way round

Had a look at my thermostatic extractor hood I’ve just finished Making , pictures attached, it’s extracting through the face with the controller fitted

What colours are they?
If red, black & yellow, Black is Negative & Red +12v, Yellow is the sensor for speed control in computers.

Take your sunglasses off.
I've never seen a computer fan where the wires are not colour coded, you should have bought some decent fans, cheap ones are noisy & don't shift enough air.

I'll have to do the old trial and error method

Usually just results in the fan going backwards if wrong way round

Not with that type of motor. They're brushless with clever electronics. They do give an indication of reverse polarity by not spinning. Then smoking. You need to know more before connecting them.

Going by that I'd be inclined to think the wire furthest away from the black and grey is the positive and the middle is the negative

I'll try that and if they blow up ill just have to buy others lol

They weren't expensive

Is that Toby all complete and perfect once you put his seats back in?
All set for his next big adventure and to receive the queues of misguided dolly birds foolishly flocking to his door? 🤣
