So after a nice walk along a windy Berwick beach we are ready to set off. Not sure where I'll stop tonight probably Yorkshire area somewhere as I've pretty much got 3 days to get from here to folkestone so no rush :)

Looking forward to your trip! Hope you have a fab time.

Stopped at wetherby services for a spot of lunch them I'm gonna look for somewhere to park up for the night so I can take jade a walk before it gets dark.

So I ended up stopping in the village of tadcaster to take jade a walk , there was a place on park4night behind the Sainsburys but it wasn't a good spot for overnighting far too built up and cars coming and going every couple of minutes.....still it was a good free parking spot to take a walk along the river so that's what we did.

We then moved on to another spot on park4night near skipwith nature reserve which is a nice little carpark in the woods in the middle of nowhere. With a great walk for jade in the morning :) you could hear a pin drop here it's that quiet.

Will do me for the night :)

Off to cook the dinner now , I'm having Cumberland sausages with garlic potatoes and sweet corn.

Had a really weird dinner last night , macaroni cheese and bacon pizza lol.....can't decide if I liked it or not but I've another one in the freezer so I'll reserve judgement till I've eaten it.

Have to say I'm glad Toby had an oven I would have missed it.

stopping in the village of tadcaster

Not wishing to be pedantic Tam, but Tadcaster is a town situated on the River Wharfe. It is famous for brewing, having 3 breweries in the town Sam Smiths, his brother John Smiths (now Heineken) and Bass Charrington (now Coors),

We enjoy reading your posts so will follow your trip with interest.

Bon voyage and stay safe!(y)

Ah well I never know whether they are villages or towns lol :p but yes I passed the John Smith's brewery....looked a nice wee town to be honest if the parking spot had been better id have stayed and had a look around in the morning

Safe travels Tam. Looking forward to reading your exploits again. I am currently parked up on the beach near Santa Pola. My sea view compromised (complemented?) by two huge Concorde's and a Morelo. They don't half cause a lot of shade!!

Tam, Do you find these spots purely on Park4Night or do you use other methods? ;) You've only just started out and found some great looking places already and as I suffer from "Great Spot" envy, I'm seriously going to have to ignore this thread for the rest of the year unless you start parking in lay-bys.:whistle::LOL::LOL:
Due to the lack of info ref taking dogs abroad in April, we intend to spend the Easter Leave period in the UK - Especially if we can find spots like these around.(y)(y)
