I dont have a bad lip or bad back lolyour bad lip and bad back I got no sypathy for but the tap I know your pain. If it’s the same as mine it’s a crap design where the little wire goes passed the plastic bit and down the back.
But the tap is a pain ....problem is the wire is too stiff and gets trapped by the tap turning. Doesn't take long to sort it which I've done now but doesn't last long before breaking again
Fortunately touch wood it's only been the kitchen tap so far which is easy to get at , the other two I've not had issues with
