Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Yes!! I can finally download the second part of season 5 vikings...I've been waiting months.

If you've never watched that series you are missing out ...it's nearly as good as game of thrones

We love it. Even thinking of having this decal on our MH. Need to see more of Floki this season - he's my favourite.

Man it's blown a right hooley here all night and still going this morning and it's cold

Don't want to get out of bed and jade isn't looking to enthusiastic either she's down the bottom of the bed under the covers and shows no sign of getting up lol.

Think you will have an interesting drive over next few days being the med side - probably a bit more cautious than you but i would not chance it without snow chains - i'm watching to see how much snow is around but i'm going via irun as i have options

You're not missing anything - quite an ugly town really. OK if you want cheap booze and cigarettes, but apart from that nothing to write home about.
Agree with that. In good weather it's a nice road in & out but I wasn't impressed with the place.

stayed in Andorra a couple of years ago on the campsite next to the " national sports stadium" it must have had a capacity of getting on for a hundred!

What a difference a day and a few hundred km makes.

I've just arrived here to use the services

There's not a cloud in the sky and the sun is blazing....the cab of franky is toasty I've had to take my parka off.

Going to have a walk around this town

Yes, shocking isn't it? but like men the world over - appropriate tho, so close to Burn's Night ,when so many will be celebrating the life of a philandering male.

Hmphhhh don't know what's happened to my pastry but it's no rising

Jades mooth is watering
Find a baker's that sell Viagra for pastry , by God it will rise oot o the oven man:D. Might scare Jade though

So I've stopped at girona for the night ...this sunshine is fandabbydozey.

Topped up my lpg too it took just over €10 yo refill which is since the 14th so 10 days €0.65L

I was checking the bloody fuses at the starter battery and the hab battery and one of the ones at the hab battery dropped all the water out the feckin boiler and reset my bloody control panel again so I'm back with it reading batteries 50%? And the only way to get rid of that is hooking up to electric

Getting fed up with stoopid motorhomes lol .
Still don't think the ebl charging relay is working and I've definately a fault on the heater when only running on 12v ...either the fan is sticking or the voltage sensor is kaput as I get no faults when hooked up or engine running but just on leisure battery I get the flashing red led. So I need a motorhome repair place so I can get that looked at.
Hopefully all is well with the solar and hopefully it's not as cold at night so won't need to use the heating much just now.

Bloody vans

Anyway ..I'm stopped here

What’s it like at that aire in Girona? We’re planning on using it if we get a table at El Cellar de Can Roco (we’re on the waiting list).

It's alright ...about 6 or 7 vans in a space that could take 50+
Has water, waste empty etc

We're headed in that direction too (from the south) maybe today, maybe tomorrow. Depends how we get on with finding winter tyres this morning.
So that aire may be useful.
How did you get on finding fresh water in mid France now it's so cold?

A lot of them were turned off including the one I used with free electric. Hit or a miss I found

Morning

Lovely and sunny but damm cold and windy

Happy burns day

Wee, sleeket, cowran, tim’rous beastie, O, what a panic’s in thy breastie! Thou need na start awa sae hasty, Wi’ bickerin brattle! I wad be laith to rin an’ chase thee Wi’ murd’ring pattle! I’m truly sorry Man’s dominion Has broken Nature’s social union, An’ justifies that ill opinion, Which makes thee startle, At me, thy poor, earth-born companion, An’ fellow-mortal! I doubt na, whyles, but thou may thieve; What then? poor beastie, thou maun live! A daimen-icker in a thrave ’S a sma’ request: I’ll get a blessin wi’ the lave, An’ never miss ’t! Thy wee-bit housie, too, in ruin! It’s silly wa’s the win’s are strewin! An’ naething, now, to big a new ane, O’ foggage green! An’ bleak December’s winds ensuin, Baith snell an’ keen! Thou saw the fields laid bare an’ waste, An’ weary Winter comin fast, An’ cozie here, beneath the blast, Thou thought to dwell, Till crash! the cruel coulter past Out thro’ thy cell. That wee-bit heap o’ leaves an’ stibble Has cost thee monie a weary nibble! Now thou’s turn’d out, for a’ thy trouble, But house or hald, To thole the Winter’s sleety dribble, An’ cranreuch cauld! But Mousie, thou art no thy-lane, In proving foresight may be vain: The best laid schemes o’ Mice an’ Men Gang aft agley, An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain, For promis’d joy! Still, thou art blest, compar’d wi’ me! The present only toucheth thee: But Och! I backward cast my e’e, On prospects drear! An’ forward tho’ I canna see, I guess an’ fear!

I think Google Translate might get somewhat confused if I try to unravel that. :D

Happy Burns day Tam.

Richard.

We're here and the water is off, just in case you're headed in this direction. Other than that it's a reasonable site. A bit of road noise but convenient to walk into the town, which so many municiple sites aren't.

Well we decided to walk in to town to see girona as it's another game of thrones location and I like game of thrones
Wrapped up well as it was cold when we set of and bloody sweating now ....It's about a 20/25 minute walk to town then you would need a few hours to visit the city properly lots of lovely buildings and wee alleyways to explore but be warned there are literally thousands of steps so not the easiest if you're not mobile.
