What a difference from the towns with the dodgy parking enforcers and guardian parking. If I make it to Morocco I'll definitely hot foot it south, for such arid land it is incredibly beautiful.

Just aswell I never brought my drone
Now in zagora , its even madder in this city for people touting for business , no sooner do you enter and there's guys on scooters riding alongside forcing you to stop, they then bang on about campsites ,garages and various other things . Then you've a million kids screaming bon bon monsieur, it's chaos , both Allan and fiona and Martin and Theresa are at garages , Allan wants a rear suspension lift and Martin has issues still with his gearbox as the garage in tafroute sounded a cowboy so I told him to.leave it . I left them at the garages and went I'm search of the market for some fruit and veg , it's one of those towns you just get harrased in . I don't think I'll ever get used to it and the crazy thing is there is things I want to buy but as soon as they start annoying me I just leave so they lose a potential sale.
Had to fill up with diesel today on route and they didn't take cards which is a right pain in the ass too.
Its what puts me off taking the van there & I'd want fully comp insurance. A few days in Marakesh was bad enough., it's one of those towns you just get harrased in . Absolutely agree, tam doesn't like negative posts, so havnt said anything before but I just don't see the attraction of the place, all the hassle for something no better than in France and Spain. Its what puts me off taking the van there & I'd want fully comp insurance. Asia not quite as bad but still hassle, they don't understand westerners and probably loose more sales because of it
Got the wee van a quick clean Just smiffy 20 MAD (about £1.60 lol) before leaving the desert, heading up into the Atlas proper now, just to see what this wee yoke can do at climbing high & twisty mountain roads

Shopping is only part of the experience. Some places worse than others and probably made worse by the ignorant paying more than they should for stuff so many traders think tourists are mugs , I buy too much stuff of ebay to even consider the prices some of these guys come out with. A vast majority of this stuff they claim is Moroccan is made in China.Absolutely agree, tam doesn't like negative posts, so havnt said anything before but I just don't see the attraction of the place, all the hassle for something no better than in France and Spain.
Probably not even as good.
If you don't go that far ,you don't need that much fuel anywayShopping is only part of the experience. But you do not get this same experience in France I guarantee it , and you don't get diesel there at £1 a litre either. I learned fairly quick Morocco needs to be experienced but its not like Europe....that's half the appeal
That's not really much fun though eh. There's a lot of world out there , I'd prefer to see as much of it as I can , and that includes places a little out of my comfort zoneIf you don't go that far ,you don't need that much fuel anyway![]()
Not arguing mate, just not for me though I'm afraid. That's not really much fun though eh. There's a lot of world out there , I'd prefer to see as much of it as I can , and that includes places a little out of my comfort zone
Yeah us too. I'd love to go to Morocco and have an experience like that. We would have to buy an older van though. Something we could afford to write off.what puts me off taking the van there
It's a shame as you have the perfect van for out here and campsites are dirt cheap. Food if you avoid European imports is also dirt cheap. The scenery inland is outstanding. The people ate in most incredibly friendly, their culture is different and tourists are often a novelty to them. It takes a bit of getting used to .Not arguing mate, just not for me though I'm afraid.
Yeah I have to admit I'd much rather have had last years old iveco or the merc I have in the drive on this trip as I'm not wanting to damage this van before I sell it. A lot of the roads I've done you wouldn't want to do it in an expensive van really. I will be back though and I'll build the merc to withstand it or I'll buy a van that canYeah us too. Great to see Tam is finally having an adventure.
I agree with him you could not have an adventure like that in France or anywhere else in western Europe.
