Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Is Morocco happy for their stray dogs/puppies to be 'adopted' and be removed?

I'm sure they don't care, one way or another but you can never be sure with bureaucrats
Who knows , but as they don't look after them , make no attempt to control their numbers or care for them they don't get a say

They really are so sweet. Lovely that they’re being adopted together too. Is the mother around?
Yes the mother was with them when we parked on the spot where they were a few days back the mum would come see us , make sure the pups were OK and content, she'd get a pet etc then go off again . I posted a pic of the mum with one of the pups the other day

Bureaucrats like to count, they would never Know how many pups are born each year, if we all did you would be very surprised.
To help the dogs in Morocco, pay to get one sterilised. Stops this cycle.

This was our guard dogs overnight last night , the smaller one the same colour as milo was such a friendly good natured dog , if i was in the market for another dog thats the one id have taken home , i was sad to leave him behind he was so well behaved and gentle with all the other dogs

That's both puppies been to the vet this morning and had their first dose of puppy vaccines for the dhppi, and also worming .

After another trip to marjene to buy water because all the taps around here are salty water which I can't give to the dogs we then headed to tifnit where we were going to park but when we got there the only parking available was not nice. So we continued to near sidi bibi but on the coast. We found a lovely deserted spot

Well Tam, now you have my full attention, they look like some enticing surf breaks. If only I was a bit younger I would be revving up the Moho and heading your way. Unfortunately the body has let me down and I gave up surfing at age 72. But the dream is still there. Thanks for the memory, keep the story going.

Fantastic sunsets there. Great to have travelling companions for a few days. I recall you telling Jacky off but must have missed that she had gone off again

Morning walkies along the stunning coastline to sidi rabat , desert meets the sea here and the landscape is barren but beautiful, the locals here are so friendly, they have houses dug in to the cliffs , Alan and Martin were invited in to one and had berber tea and a chat with the man who lives there while I was out for my walk with the dogs , there are tour guides bringing tourists in 4x4 jeeps every 10 minutes who mostly just take a few photos and leave . There are Lots of strays again , we have a pack of about 6 or 7 around us but I met many more on our morning walk , one pack there was about 20 but they were hanging around all the German vans further along the beach , I don't know how the dogs get water here , and it's so hot. It's around 28° at the minute ,I have all my washing out to dry and trying to even up my truck driver suntan

Then had a walk up the hill for a look around , great view from up there , so many tour cars coming here though thankfully they don't stay long , the local family from the wee cliff house has came up to join us a few times today , mostaffa, Rachid and Ismael 3 brothers who built their own homes here in the cliff ...they don't speak any English so they don't say much but they enjoy just sitting with us , with the odd Google translate to communicate.

Fantastic photos Tam.
Those cliff houses are crazy, is there any coastal errosion ?
Is the sand firm or are you at risk of sinking.
Have you had the drone up ?
Think he left the drone in spain

There is erosion right under mostaffas house but the house goes right in to the cliff, it's lovely inside they have electric etc and a well inside , the well is fresh water which is amazing. They've lived here 14 years , 3 houses all side by side

I don't have the drone here as they're illegal in Morocco so I left it in Spain. We've just been having berber tea with the brothers. You get a sense of real Morocco because they want nothing from you bar socialising , any small thing you give them they act like you just handed them a million pounds, it's such a change from the cities and tourist spots where everyone harrases you we will probably stay here another night as its so nice to just chill and the locals to enjoy company with.

We collected mussels from the beach earlier so we just had another tagine done with those and couscous done with peppers and sweetcorn . ...lovely

Rachid has asked us if we want to fish with him in the morning. They are fishing tonight for octopus but he says morning is best for fish

Thanks Tam. Such interesting videos and commentary. Lovely to hear your voice too after all these years of following you around on here. How do the folk living there support themselves.

Fishing I think , communicating is difficult
