Tam n pups winter trip 2022

It seems to be to buy more time in Morocco, I think like we were before brexshit you can stay 6 months if you leave and reenter in the middle . 🤷‍♂️ it wasn't clear but that seems to be the idea, another couple I met a week or so back had done the same.

They also buy tobacco In tenerife as you can't get it here.

€20 flight from agadir to tenerife
How long is their vehicle allowed to stay in Maroc? When we were last there, you could use a registered camp site as your temporary address, in order to extend your visas. A flight to the Canaries does sound good though, especially at €20.😎

Tam - Re the flying out bit - Things might have changed since we were there (2013), but I seem to remember that you had your vehicle details stamped in your passport and you cannot leave the country without the vehicle unless it was secured in a customs compound (?)

I'm not sure , the German couple who said they had done it said the vehicle import lasted 6 months but I don't know.

Also I think its sad Tam that no matter where you go and where you stop there are always stray dogs .:(

Silvia
Yes every single stop has stray dogs , there really is no escaping them . Fortunately I'd say 90% of them are reasonably healthy for strays , only a minority are injured . I think most have fleas . I have met very few who aren't friendly though and most are great with my dogs too which is brilliant as I was worried about them being attacked.

Sadly you do just get used to seeing them eventually, it was hard at first but it gers easier and now I just enjoy feeding them and giving them some affection , many come on our walks which is always a laugh when I pass people .

So I've just been to another massive scrapyard , I was immediately approached by amil, a very friendly young lad who unfortunately couldn't speak english but regardless he led me through a maze of sheds for around an hour till we finally found one of the parts I needed for the old merc , a front indicator lense , then came the 25 minute bartering session during which time they washed the part , kept showing me the genuine mercedes stamp lol and started the bidding at 300dh ...I told him crazy price ...no chance , I offered 100dh ...he spat on the ground and marched off lol ... he then said 250dh ...again I said no 100dh

Off he went again so amil and I started the walk back to the van ...of course I had to pay amil something too so as the guy with the part followed us at a distance all the way back to the van I gave him 150dh final price, he wasn't happy but took it . Amil then asked for 50dh lol ...I said no silly boy ...I handed him 20dh he looked disgusted ... I gave him another 12dh and that was that

So in total 182dh ... around £15

It's not perfect but better than the broken one on my van

There were other parts I need but by then I was exhausted...its too much work buying anything in Morocco lol.

Pics of the day. I had my first run in with corrupt police , they tried to fine me 150dh for parking outside the medina. Walked of with my passport, licence, insurance and v5 for ages. Kept asking me for 150dh I refused and he said we have to go to police station so I said OK let's go , no sign saying not to park and other people parked here etc , after keeping me for 25 minutes they gave up and let me go.

Bought another hoodie in the medina and an ob1 canobi robe 🤣🤣

I've no photos of the robe yet ,

Read that brains thickly sliced and fried until golden are quite nice.
Hugh Farthing whitingham book Hugh eats it all, read it a few weeks ago.
Not sure what you do with the eyes, maybe sausage!

I only took Martin and Allan in to get them jelabas and I got the hard sell for a robe lol ... he wanted 600dh

In the end I gave him 200dh , its actually very comfortable and warm when sat outside. We've been sat out tonight having a few beers with the 2 geordie girls , and a local guy kamil ( no humps ) who speaks very good English and German.

We are going back to tagazhout tomorrow for 1 night as Martin and Teresa need the vet here in agadir but not open till Monday.

Thats a big cabbage you are sprouting.
I was wondering what infection he has but didn't like to ask. 😄

The poor bloke behind him seems to have some empathy as he's in tears. 😆

We are now back in tagazhout and Allen and fiona have taken the other pup ...also a girl they have named nala.

So there is currently a doggy spa going on here with flea shampoo , and drops lol

Is Morocco happy for their stray dogs/puppies to be 'adopted' and be removed?

I'm sure they don't care, one way or another but you can never be sure with bureaucrats
