Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I hope you have had your rabies jabs.
Is that still a thing?

I mean the dogs have but I've never had a rabies jab

But touch wood I've also never been bitten.

You never know with so many strays, they won't vacinated.
Well I'm careful and most of the dogs I encounter are very friendly. They are surprisingly good with my dogs so far too although I'm more nervous about any attacking them than I am me

Few pics from Jackie's phone ... the wee black dog was the female I mentioned that we think just had pups. She was another wee sweetheart.

You are right to stay nervous about them attacking your dogs, especially when you are giving the street dogs food. Keep your dogs away while you are feeding them as they will attack if they think your dogs will try to take the food away from them. But I guess you already know that so sorry if you think I am preaching.

They are all so gorgeous. Looks like they are being fed though, I think they stay on the beach as the van people feed them. Edited to say I have seen worse and I have cried for them.

Yeah I always leave mine in the van when feeding others.

Much to their annoyance lol. But milo especially would be in there yapping and trying to chase them off.

I try to feed them away from the van a bit too just in case .

I'm going to start carrying some extra water for them too

Some are bigger built than others the wee black one is incredibly skinny and the male closest to Jackie's van seems very thin ...he is the pack leader and the one that barks a lot.

Excellent idea about the water Tam, was thinking about that too earlier.

Jackie's on that with the carrots lol
A local Farmer put a shire horse on my field for a few months as he lost the field he kept it on. It had never had any affection, I used to give him carrots and apples I cried when he took him away as I would have loved to have been able to keep him. The Farmer told me he never ever gave him anything to eat but grass and hay in the winter. Looking back what I did was wrong I suppose, did that horse crave carrots and apples after that🤷‍♀️

I don't think they have those reactions lol. It will have just enjoyed the carrots and apples it got at that time.

Some of the stuff you see here 🤦‍♂️

Out for morning walkies on the beach , there's 2of the motorbike driven carts and 4 guys burying loads of rubbish in plastic bags and covering it over with sand

The problem is it doesn't stay buried hence the amount of rubbish and plastic everywhere. It's frustrating and sad to see

Thanks again anyone and everyone who has put a few quid in.

We are now in laroche...after a few failed attempts at stopping in the town for a look at the old Fort etc and getting lost. Taking Jackie a tour of the very very run down parts of town including the local prison ( no sat nav lol ) we made it out unscathed and are currently in the marjane supermarket carpark having lunch. I'm then going to have my first morrocan supermarket experience and pick up some more dog food too.

I'm also going to top up my diesel as its £1 a litre here.

No pics today so far unfortunately but from here I think we are going to try and find somewhere near moulay bousalam nature reserve. But will see
