Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Watch out for white plastic chairs and ladies selling oranges!!!
might be ok though if he looks around the industrial estate not far from malaga airport . near where the auto gas garage is . might see a few nice ladies around there .
one of my mates had a vehicle repair garage close by so we had to go window shopping often. never bought anything though . ha ha .
he has moved to alhourin de la torre now so we dont get the window shopping when going to see him.

Still mobbed here and now there's a chorus of car horns of all the cars blocked in lol

Well when I got up this morning i couldn't believe the state this wee place had been left in. Granted I've been here since Thursday and in that time the bins haven't been emptied which is unusual as everywhere else I've been it's been a nightly occurrence. But there's at least with no exaggeration 30 odd bins here an some are still empty yet this is how it looked this morning.

So I left there with the intention of just moving along the road 2km to the wee town of El Palo as I'd seen a few MH parked there ....satnav took me down some ridiculous tight roads to get there and then when I arrived a parking attendant told me the police didn't let you park there ...despite there being 4 other MH there that clearly stayed there yesterday ...but not wanting to get in a dispute I just left and headed in to Malaga.
I headed for a spot on park4night at the castle and being early enough I got up here and parked up easy enough.
But there's now at least 25 coaches turned up that the parking attendant here is having some problems parking and then a French motorhome turned up and csnt get parked without me having to move my van so he can squeeze in. I was having a coffee when I seen him and his wife eying up the 2 foot of space between my habitation door and the car next to me so when they weren't looking jade and I snuck out because frankly he can pee off I'm not getting jammed in for his sake.
Tried to go visit the castle but they don't allow dogs which is a joke considering it's just a ruin and all outside so if she can't go in then they've lost my €3 Lol
Nice viewpoint though so I got the following photos ....mostly harbour but still it's quite interesting.
So we are now hiding in the woods till the coach chaos and the French man gets sorted then I'll decide whether to stay here or move somewhere else.
I would like to spend a few days around Malaga as I need a haircut and I'd like to see the old town. There's a few places on park4night so I'm sure I'll find something.

going along the coast it used to be ok the other side of malaga even on the beach towards the end of malaga . or along at guadalmar.
or just inland between the coast and the airport there was ok parking or stopping .
mind like every where places change . very often the best places are a no go. but just move abit inland and its ok. better a nearly good place than getting moved on .

Well never let it be said that a French man gives in easy :p he managed to squeeze in but I can't see them using that habitation door and it's a coachbuilt MH.
And neither of them are thin lol.

But all the coaches seem to have gone now at least.

Just having a hopefully unspoilt coffee now and looking to see potential stopover nearby for a few days

Well it isn't the most picturesque spot but it's right on the beach 2km from Malaga centre and going by the other campers here a lot is tolerated so I'll stay here for tonight at least and see what tomorrow brings.

There's also the largest motorhome I've ever seen here which I'll try and get a photo of later

Just wondering, Tam, have you ever stayed on a campsite since you arrived in Europe? - I can't remember reading that you have. We love the aires but every once in a while we will spend a night on a campsite if they have a launderette.

No I can't bring myself to do it lol ...its too much like a prison camp for me.

I've actually now secured myself a wee spot right at the side of the beach and it's a real beach with sand so I'm quite happy.
Cycled in to Malaga for a look around ...its not as bad as I imagined and dare I say it quite nice :p so I may stay here a few days as according to my Dutch neighbours the police don't bother about this bit and you can out chairs out without complaints so I'm sat out with feet in the sand and jade has made a couple of new friends ...one being a lovely Spanish water dog which is like a big teddy bear

That reminds me - at the opposite end of the scale - going up the M6 in the car today and we go past one of those little tiny coachbuilt Romahomes that are based on the old Bedford Rascal. My 2 youngest kids go "Ahhhh, look at the baby motorhome!!", whereas my cynical teenage offspring pipes up with "Christ, it looks like one of those plastic loo cubicles you see on building sites, but glued to the back of a toy dumper truck."

Yeah yeah

I'm getting fed up every bugger telling me it's the worst winter they've had etc.

I specifically ordered a year of sunshine and so far it's no delivering ....im not impressed
Hi Tam, they certainly didn’t listen to you did they! We are just down the coast from you in Cabopino and it’s been raining for several hours. Put paid to our bus trip into Marbella. Still there is always tomorrow but even then the forecast is not promising.
Doesn’t help when my son is boasting he is sweltering in 30+ in Kings Lynn.

Had a scorching day yesterday ...weather app showed 24/25 for today but it's cloudy at the minute and a little drizzle rain ...but I'm doing shopping and laundry so that's ok

I'm hoping it might get sunnier later ...i have faith

Yes the sun is out but can’t see much blue sky so it’s off to the laundry as well.

Still sunny here in Murcia

We desperately need some rain.
It's not raining here now but still cloudy :(

But there is a very cute hippy chick in a home build pulled in beside us with a big furry doggy so I've been blethering away to her for the last hour or so ....shes from here but heading to France to look for work

Full dreadlocks and more piercings than ice seen on one person but cool girl :)

Ahh, that brings back fond memories of the 90's!

I'm away cashing in on my free haircut off I got from the Spanish lad the other day :p

This could be good or disastrous I'll let you know ha ha
