Tam & co the great winter escape

Tam, if you come out of the terminal at the floor above ground, you can turn left on the “veranda”, walk to the end, go down a metal fire escape type stairway and will be in a tarmac/grassy office area. Walk straight ahead parallel to the carparks untill you meet a road. Ahead of you is a bus stop.
A car driver can get there easily from Long Border Road onto Bassingbourn Road and passed the Hilton car hire on your right. Over the roundabout by the no entry sign past the entrance road to the Fed-Ex building and pick you up there. It can be seen on Google Maps.

Wissel have you seen what he's done now, he knows where you hang out so I think you should order some new router cutters a couple of saw blades and sharpen your chisels or you could just move

Just been speaking with taj the vario owner ...he phoned to ask my flight details etc as his dad isn't well so he's sending a taxi for me ... he's paying.

So while he was on i asked him about the toilet situation.. apparently the pics are from when he first painted it ...( Always a worry ) and when he had bought the van the toilet was on the other side ...he has changed things around to suit himself so it apparently now has a door on the other side to access the cassette. He has left the other one in place because he didn't want to weld it up and had planned later to fit a caravan habitation door where that is as theres no side door on this van.

I only hope if thats the case that the van still looks as good as it does im the photos as that is clearly misleading otherwise. 18 months is a long time on merc bodywork lol.

I really hope hes not a billy bullshitter...time will tell i guess.

It will be insured from later today which is nearly 300 quid plus my flight costs etc so always nervous buying something technically unseen . But if it isnt in that condition there will be price negotiation or rejection taking place i fear.

Lets hope not

Can't you ask for some current photos with close ups before you go to all that effort?

Jees he's a crabit bugger and i wish he would stop calling me "bruv" bloody cockneys😉

I phoned him back and said i just wanted him to put my mind at ease as he said the photos were old ...he started rabbiting on about meant to ask this stuff before bidding yada yada yada ...he don't shut up long enough for you to ask a question.. anyway i did say his listing stated "professional paintjob " never said anything about the pics being old or to request other pics etc so i naturally assume like most that the pics are fresh and that professional means good quality.

Anyway hes gonna send me some fresh photos or facetime me so i can see it's current condition.

He does have a point to a degree i should probably have phoned him before bidding to have a chat but i expected it to sell for much higher than i bid and only really decided last minute to have a bid on it.

But like i said he doesn't stop talking long enough to tell him any of that 😁🤣

But he seems passionate about it at least so thats something.

Hopefully im just worried for nothing and its all good ...i dont expect a new or pristine motor ...its 33 years old and its merc ...i just dont want to get down there and find a rusty botched up banger.

He’s meant to put up to date photos on before he advertises! you haven’t done anything wrong.

Yeah i know that...but like i said can't get a word in edgeways . I wouldn't dream of using 18 month old photos to sell anything. It just causes confusion like the toilet hatch etc. Ive zoomed in on all those pics looking for signs of rust, bodyfiller dents etc etc .. and looking at the wheels , the tyres .

Not much point if the pics are 18 months out of date.

My euramobil looks very different from how it did 3 months ago never mind 18 months.

So hopefully the current pics he sends will look good , ill also be checking v5 last change of keeper date etc when i get down there and making sure he has had it 5 years etc. I noticed on the mot check its still registered as white so he hasn't changed that either. Im already aware that the weight etc is wrong but im happy to sort that out with dvsa
Im wondering if its just as simple as a typing error on document 2900 instead of 5900 ...its possible. But getting a vario under 3.5t isnt possible so theres defo a mistake somewhere.

All fun and games this wheeling and dealing nonsense 😁

I’m from south London and I’ve never called anyone bruv or said know what I mean…. Perhaps I’m from the other side of the council estate…😎

That's more than likely as on the numberpad the 5 is above the 2.
