Tam & co the great winter escape

i was working in a house and they had macdonalds breakfast delivered its not all that in the shop must have been awful after sitting in the bag

One disadvantage, if you go for home delivery is the salad you get with your tandoori mixed starter (after sitting inside the driver's insulated tote bag for twenty minutes) comes out like a hot vegetable side dish !
Yes we are considerate. Our salads are packed separate and we don't pit them in the hot bag.

Do you deliver to Yorkshire?!
Just Uber a bag of salad lol

It was an eye opener for me moving to Hull after living in the sticks in the Peak District for years I can tell you. 4 miles out of Buxton if I could get a takeaway delivered cheapest delivery was a fiver. Wasn’t that long ago if you wanted one you rand one of the taxi places and paid them, they ordered and brought it over. That cost a fair bit more though

One wet night out in town, my son looked at the length of the taxi queue, popped into a pizza spot across the road, ordered a 9 incher for home delivery then blagged a lift from the delivery driver saying "There'll be no one in to accept it unless you give me a lift !"

I just delivered 1 portion of chips earlier £2.70 for the chips £2.50 for delivery and £0.50p service charge.

Some folk are nuts.

Only 3 streets away too
Where nephew lives in Essex chip shop doesn't deliver but all others do. Price includes delivery using the local cab firm.

Unbelievable. I’ve never had a hot food delivery. Must be half cold when it gets there - where’s the fun in that?
It is fuel. Why does it need to be hot? You don't agonise over your diesel when filling do you?

Good takeaways will have heated bags. Plugged in in the shop and can plug in in delivery vehicle too if needed.

Most food will stay warm for a while. Pizza does struggle though.

I always liked it when a customer ordered food when drunk. They would fall asleep and not answer door. First thing I would do was check their ticket to see what they had ordered.... Shredded chili beef... Dinner sorted 😋

Everything here once cooked goes in a hot box , only 3 deliveries go at a time. And in a heated bag. 4 drivers on so nothing is longer than 15 minutes from oven to door. Cant recall ever having complaints of cold food.

I dunno why but a few years ago I decided to try the twighlight shift at a shabby kebab type place in Edinburgh on hogmanay. 12am to 5am.

They didn't have a license but there was too much money to be made so sold food 24hrs.

4.45am and they give me 7 deliveries. 'just do these then go home mate' they said

Couple of deliveries then were stone cold 🤣

Never worked there again.

Given a few Waitrose customers a lift from pub to home before! Saves taking food back to store!!

As hazel was working this week and we couldn't get our hill walk in i drove the MH up to tayport today for a night or two away. Love this wee flt spot . I expected there to be a few vans but i have it to myself at the minute. Lovely view from my lounge looking over the river tay to Dundee city. Will have a nice walk along the beach tomorrow towards St Andrew's

Unbelievable what some people spend on takeaways, for us at the Indian one meal deal + one extra curry does us two days with cooking a bit of rice the next day.
Had one take away in the last 20 years. Chinese and it was terrible..BUSBY.

Looking good,
