Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

The more i see self build 4x4 trucks the more i fancy getting one

I particularly like the vw one parked near me and theres a similar model on mobile.de
I'd ask about mpg as we had an LT28 & it struggled for 16 mpg. looking in the owners handbook one day I was surprised to see that they actually listed fuel consumption figures for all the models & ours was down as 16L/100kms which is the same as 16 mpg. In one of those ads it states averaging 15,71l/100kms at 90kph over 18k kms .Must have been all mway to average that in a 4wd. Ours also had a tach & so was limited to 90 kph as well. Anything other than main roads & top gear & it would use it quicker than you could fill it:giggle:

Maybe it is someone just learning but I do not think it should be flown consistently over a small group of private houses, an I just being a grumpy old moaning misery?
Out in the campo the spanish wouldn't hesitate just to shoot them down especially overflying houses.

If it is over 250grams you cannot fly over people & must safeguard the right to privacy. If fitted witha camera it allcomes under data protection laws which are quite strict.
If under 250grams you can overfly people BUT you cannot exceed 20m above ground level. If with camera you are subject again to the data protection & privacy etc.
A recreational licence is required to use one.
All drones have to have a fireproof plate stating make, manufacturer, type, serial number, owners name, details ,phone number etc;etc,

If it is a commercial operator or entity then the regulations mean that it has to be 120m above the tallest building that is within a 600m radius & a minimum of 50 m from it.It cannot come lower. all flights have to be approved by AESA & SORA. All have to be equipped witha safety system like a parachute or airbag
At all times they have to be within view of the operator

Drones are becoming mainstream for the police and military in the U.K. now.
Several police forces are using them instead of helicopters for missing person searches and watching over demonstrations. They are much cheaper than launching helicopters.
The military are using them for all sorts and have been carrying out a number of exercises lately.
We will see more and more of them in the skies.

Richard.

I can't see the negative comments lol. I can highly recommend the ignore button in this instance. My Dad bought a drone during lockdown to have something to help occupy him. He lives out in the countryside so lots of nice scenery to look at. I had a go and found it quite scary when bringing it lower as was worried about crashing into trees etc so much easier to keep it up high unless launching or landing. Google earth can spy on your property too!

Can you soften the transitions a bit, it would make it easier viewing ?

We'll make a movie director of you eventually

Where exactly are you, Tam? I’ve looked on Google maps for Elea, and searched park4night but it’s not showing up.

Fair few vipers down there ...Ochia being about the nastiest re bite.. but like most snakes shy and generally avoid anywhere that has human activity

Why would you fly a drone over private property? What do you gain by spying on them? Seems a bit peeping Tom to me. What’s the difference to the weird people looking in others gardens with binoculars?
That colour of boxer shorts really suit you (y)
