Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

So that is why they dug the canal in the first place.
Did they dig it because crossing back this morning ...theres one very narrow causeway and the road that both looks like they were built to join lefkada to the mainland

The problem is ALL over the world people are dying from other things because they arent being treated, not to mention the millions out of work and losing homes and businesses due to restrictions and lockdowns ....for a virus that primarily kills people who are dying from other things

There have been 32 million recovered from covid and only 1.2 million died

Less than flu

In the end you have to make sure the cure isn't worse than the disease
If those figures are genuine why is Greece in lockdown,,no danger at all unless your really old and suffering from other illness..BUSBY,,

They call it a canal. I took my boat through it.

The greek figures are genuine because they were quick to act in march and are doing the same again.

But yes thats pretty accurate everywhere it mostly kills the older with other conditions

So Greece is right to act and lockdown but uk is wrong according to many..Flu and many other diseases mainly kill the elderly but surely their lives still matter and if lock down helps reduce the spread of Covid which it did early on this year it is the correct thing to do until a vaccine comes along, Had my flu jab yesterday,,been having one now for 27 years,,I definately do not want flu ever again. BUSBY.

Personally ....i think they want people so scared , so pissed off and so desperate they will queue up for the vaccine ....making the pharmaceutical companies richer than they all ready are.

None of the emergency built hospitals were required , as were the ventilators that never turned up anyway

Personally i just think its wrong the way they are doing it ...lockdown the vulnerabil they are the most at risk and let everyone else get on with it.

My mum has still not left the house since February while most of her generation were desperate to get back out in july ....you saw it on here champing at the bit to get back to campsites , bars and restaurants.

Ive still not been in a bar ,pub or restaurant and have worn a mask inside every building ive been in.

So when folk say the younger generation are being selfish they need to think about what those generations are losing .... businesses, jobs, relationships , education , and for many a future .

Staying on campsites, paying tolls, buying beer, socialising, the man is out of control, speak to him Lenny HB before it’s to late. 😜

Enjoying your exploits in Greece, now on my bucket list.
Not been on a campsite lol ...
The tolls were unavoidable unfortunately or id have driven around.

So all the governments of
the world are willing to sacrifice the economy of their respective countries to enrich
pharmaceutical companies,,bit of a far fetched conspiracy theory I think..Since this started uk government has been criticized for its actions and other countries like Italy Germany Portugal etc praised but looking around most countries are struggling at the present..BUSBY😁😉

I arrived at Elea beach just in time for the sunset ..... haven't found the frenchies yet as there are so many vans along a 3 or 4 km bit of beach its hard to spot them .

Not a conspiracy theory ....the company's that will survive this are the big ones the wealthy ones with reserves .

The small businesses will be all but gone

The uk handling was diabolical and still is

The ONLY people who think different are supporting them for another reason 😉

Anyway enough bollocks about covid ....its going to be here a long time , im not living in fear of it while it is

Everyone conspicuous by their absence again... so it's not only towns where everyone hides eh?
:p .

Seriously though, it looks a very nice spot to be locked down in, as long as you have facilities.
What sort of temperature was it when you took those photos?

Maybe now, you'll chill & unwind a bit.

I was rudely awakened this morning by a huge weird insect crawling on me ...about 1.5 inch long with dozens of legs 2 front pincers and a weird tail ...dark brown in colour ...i hastily flicked it off me and now i cant find it which is more concerning as its still in the van somewhere....wild dangerous animals im fine with but I don't like bugs .... I wouldn't say im scared of them i just find them very unpleasant

And having seen a scorpion at that last cove i was parked at i dont want the buggers in the van
No idea what it was

Sounds like a Centipede best to catch it and put it outside. 🙂 Bob.

Stunning as always :-) Saying there are so many vans along the beach has reinforced my decision not to return as saw it at its best and quietest .
But you will love it I am sure as it would be difficult not too lol

Its saying 17° now but probably low 20's when i took photo's.

The vans are all pretty well spread out at least , theres a few fresh water taps , bins and a couple of beach showers ...thats it ..so if here for 3 weeks it looks like i will be digging a hole for waste.

It seems to be a regular camp ground though as there are wooden signs nailed to trees telling you where you can and cant camp ..

There seemed to be a guy with a stall selling what looked like honey and things too..

When i say lots of vans i meant for trying to find the french folk ....but as it turned out they hadnt arrived yet so ive met up with them now ..

Theres probably at a guess maybe 60 -80 vans but thats over a very large area .....also seems clean and rubbish free which is good to see.

Looks like a good beach though

Go back to post #2044, I mentioned somewhere to empty your loo up near the sports pitches, hopefully it's still there.
