What burner do you have? Any good?
Do you men Burstner? We have an A Class IXEO 720g.

Rear bathroom, twin single beds, plus large drop down bed. We absolutely love it. It is plated at 4250 kg so plenty of payload. Before buying we were concerned about storage given it had no garage but under each bed there is loads of storage plus other lockers.

The technology for cutting is already available.
The technology for cutting is already available. It just depends on whether the manufacturer is prepared to invest in it and the customer prepared to pay the higher prices that go with it. This video helped me to choose my new van.

Where in the video is the "technology for cutting"?
Did you actually watcht he video.
Guy with pencil marking, cutter!!!
I have no issue with skilled craftsmanship I just don't understand your interpretation of the video as "technology for cutting"

I sold my business in Jan, the next email was from my accountant my tax bill… whaaaaaaa someone give me a gun!… or at least a tissue…
Confused, your bigging up your wealth but clearly you're professional acumen is lacking as you should have been expecting the tax bill...
Or maybe sue your accountant, as they should of explained the tax implications before the sale, if your understanding of UK tax law was
clearly so inadequate.

I recall a member from Kent having no end of serious leaks in his new Hymer, and could not resolve the problem, there is a countinuing sage on here from an Adria owner , and a Carthago owner who was blown away by the total lack of after sales with his MH which he found it extremely difficult to get parts for. It appears tp be a problem that ids prevellent throughout the Motorhome industry in Europe and UK . Alittle less Bit Bashing please. .
How dare you Hymer’s don’t leak 😉

Mind you one Lotus I had started leaking in the near side foot well, it was past warranty. So I emailed the factory customer services explaining that the car seemed to have been supplied with a novel waterfall which I had not ordered. They were very kind in that if I paid for the seal they would pay the labour ( it was the front clam that had to come off and be re-fitted.

Harsh, very harsh, In my opinion .
Obviously it would seem the OP has a fairly healthy financial disposition. And fair play to him.
I have no issue with anyone having money, but I do have an issue with rubbish products that fail and levels of service that are appalling when that hard earned money has paid for such.
I genuinely feel for the OP .
I know I would not have been so understanding with those van issues having paid that sort of money, even if I had it, which I don't.
And I would be bitterly, bitterly disappointed.
I hope it gets sorted.

Why make such a rude and condescending comment. You can be expecting something and still be shocked or upset when it arrives.

Sneering comments like yours if they go unchecked would turn this place the bicker fest that the rest of social media has become. Please make your next post an apology. Thanks.

My take on current Swift models is they are all bling. They are built to look good in the showroom but the build quality, materials used and construction methods all appeared to be lacking. When I walked in it had the “wow” factor, but on lifting a few cupboards or opening a door you could just tell they were light and flimsy and in no way going to stand the test of time. The one we looked at had screw which were missing, screws which were squint, it was just plain outright bad workmanship.
Gone are the days when Peter Smith would be an active member on motorhomefacts (before fun) giving advice and intervening with issues. He is now sunning himself in Lake Garda with the proceeds of his sell off. I really feel for those who are having issues no matter how much they have spent. Bad customer service is unforgivable.

If I remember correctly Stewart, he even arranged several weekends where FACTS members could stay on a site near by, and transport would pick them up for a factory tour..............all courtesy of Peter at Swift.

Your right, he did a great job of promoting Swift and really shook things up with customer care. I remember being out with him one night after a day at the NEC, he was ranting about someone stealing a cupboard door at the show. He was totally disgusted, I gave him my view. If someone is so desperate for a cupboard door they need to steal it, is that not a reflection on how hard it is to obtain parts from your company. He took it on the chin and thanked me. A few months later I believe there were changes made in the parts team. He did genuinely care about the Swift brand, it was his baby.

Hey wait a min, why have you cut and pasted a line, then commented in such a nasty way, when it was clearly a bit of fun in the original post! That’s not exactly the spirit of this site. No one with a sense of humour would consider that the line “in its original context in the full post” would for one minute think anything other than it was a bit of fun.
Shooting myself or crying into a tissue! Really. I don’t for one minute think anyone would really think I would shoot myself or drive a £100k motorhome of beachyhead, goodness me, I’d go to prison and how would I then spend the money just got paid for my business, less the tax of course.
Come on it’s a laugh, there are so many people on here who enjoy the spirit of this site, and laugh with the antics and memes.
I think the site is called motorhome fun. I think it’s called that because the majority including me have fun, making funny comments and in return getting great help and assistance, I have just recently met 2 members of this forum and had a pleasant time with them. That is what it’s about.

Thank you our poppy lll for fessing up your post was in jest.
While some have viewed my post #93 as offensive I believe your post #103 justifies my "calling out".
I await apologies or a ban?

Most of my comments have an element of jest about them, that’s because the site is called motorhome fun, most people on this site post a little bit of jest in their posts, but your claim of calling out my post did not justify your offensive response in your post of #93. You do not know about my knowledge of Tax, nor do you know the level of my wealth. Why you found it necessary to even write the sentences you did is inexplicable. You certainly deserve no apologies from the site owners nor Jim who kindly called you out.
A simple apology from yourself I’m sure will suffice.
You may however find it better to ignore my posts in future, if you find them so disconcerting to resort to being offensive for no reason. It’s easy to do, all you do is block me on your posting account.
I will not be offended.

Dear our poppy lll
If you are interested, I have a mate in the pub who is friends with my daughter , who's brother runs a local nail bar and kebab shop, who's sister is married to an agent who specialises in combustion related insurance claims.
For a small-ish fee I can arrange an introduction if you so wish in order that you might be able to discuss your dilemma re your current motorhome, and what remedies he may be able to prescribe.
Discretion assured, but bring your own matches.
Happy to help.

Oh yes they do 🤣

What with my mate having 5 windows in his Hymer and this apparently poor build quality of the newer models, it’s looking like Hymer are dropping down the German quality league table a bit 🤔
There always one who likes to spread a rumor, build quality is pretty good in the main, there are other brands which seem to pop up quite regularly.

Motor Homes are like waterproof boots they all leak in the right conditions

Darn, I’ll have to renew my membership, my pretty flamingo says, she loves our weekends away in our motorhome that’s 9 weeks in Europe! and we will be lost without it, she reminds me of the sheer romance of the sunsets, the cold beer, the sparkling wine, the gentle lap of waves and the gurgle of the river, she point to the coo cooo of birds early in the morning and as I cook her bacon and eggs for breakfast how she would miss being pampered.. she says how else can she laugh her socks off at me ironing non iron bedding, the manliness of me arguing with the dealer and winning the argument that’s it is a warranty issue.
God she knows me too well, twisted round her little finger, she brought me tea and toast this morning!
“Honey why don’t we get a Hymer instead” go on you know you want to. Ah ah no buts, just think about it, more tea, another slice of toast? Mmm..
God will we be on Poppy4?

Many years ago I had Ford Cortina which was lovely to look at, but an absolute bag of spanners mechanically. At the time I worked in a hospital in a less salubrious part of Greater Manchester, at the side was my “garage” run by a couple of good but very dodgy lads. After yet another visit, one of the lads said for £50 or thereabouts he could make the car disappear in “combustion related incident”. And he meant it. I declined the offer 😂.

It isn't a rumour, the bloke who owned the Hymer is a member on here, the bloke who told me about the recent poor build quality has been working on them 18 years, I understand that if you own a certain brand and are happy with it, you don't like reading negative comments about them. But the fact is Hymer ain't what they used to be and neither are a lot of other manufacturers, if you choose not to believe that then there's nothing more to say.

you realise I am not being serious which is why I used a winking 😉 icon in my first post

Having had the sink waste pipe pop off ( I posted about this) I know Hymer’s are not perfect, show me any brand that is. Mind you, love the standard Froli springs and memory foam mattress.

Modern lightweight materials are being waved around as ‘poorer’ quality compared to the old log 🪵 cabinets yet they are pretty robust.

Hymer are pretty good overall and just like my T5 conversions not bad value for your money.

( other MoHo’s are available along with many many opinions)

No! We want a real big bang, (that just reminded me, ! my South Korean agent was called Bangg, it was a common name, he was a big baby and his mom called him Bigg. Which was the same as Big in English he was therefore called Bigg Bangg, when we saw his photo, we could not stop laughing, he was 6’5 18 stone and built like a big bang) het that’s a true story, anyway, I wanna get rich, so if I blow up Poppylll I want a trillion pieces, £1.00 a shot, I get rich, pretty flamingo makes me tea and toast with marmalade, every morning, I got it made.. whoo hoo I love a dastardly plan..
