Rally Chat Sunshine Festival 2017 Upton 24-28 August Meet

Good on yer @Wombles for organising it, we will probably be out of the country and not really our kind of music.
Where is the camping behind the sports club at the top of the town or on Fish Meadow? Fish Meadow is a nightmare if the weather is bad.
Upton is a great place for festivals we have done the Jazz one 6 times, a bit of a disappointment last year, they tried to cut costs and a lot of the headline acts were missing.

Think it's the Fish Meadow so same location as Upton Blues Festival - hopefully we will have good weather in August :sun:& understand that problems that they had in the past with flooding  are unlikely to reoccur now they have a new defence system in place

Not to keen on camping cos it's to close to us...

That's a funny old trap, we don't consider it's "right" to camp on our own doorstep and when we live in the Peak District it's really strange. We have camped 20 miles away.

Brian Upton is about 4 miles from our old house and ten from where we live now. Have spent lots of time working and playing in that area. It daft I know but to camp up so close to home does not appeal. Though it would be nice to run across and meet some of you..

Update on the booking form - not here yet but they haven't forgotten us :) so hopefully will be soon. They have had a huge demand for their website early booking offer so still catching up with that.

Now have first draft of the booking form - just awaiting confirmation on tweaked version & will be ready to email out :)

Got my form now.

I am a bit concerned at some of the questions.

3. Sexual Preferences ? Is "forgotten" acceptable ?

7. Alcohol consumed ? Is "are you joking" acceptable ?

27. Do you have a SOG ? That's private.

43. What time do you want breakfast ? The only answer is "when I awaken".

60. Age ? I see this as an ageist question, not acceptable.

102. Do you use a zimmer frame ? Well that depends on 7.

222. Do you want to hook up ? At my age I don't expect to get that lucky.

Details of a potential Old Bush Blues Festival Meet here http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum...ust-callow-end-worcester-funster-meet.147027/ (y) It's the weekend after Retrofestival Newbury & the one before Sunshine (same area) - could be a summer of Fun Festivals! For anyone going from Old Bush Blues to Sunshine there is the possibility of overnight parking for the nights in between for a very limited number - PM for details.

We are currently trying to negotiate the best location we can in the camping field but the more we have coming the more likely we are to get a good spot so please post on this thread or message to receive a booking form :)

Here is the latest line-up. It's going to be a top meet.

Union Gap is probably the best act we ever saw at a Warner's show.

We are interested can you please send me a booking form.
Thanks,
Lesley & Chris

Would encourage anyone who likes music, a bit of good company & a wander around market towns (Upton-On-Severn high street is a short walk away (y)) to come along & try this one especially if you have never been to a festival before. Even the most trendy of festivals (we tried Valley Fest & River Cottage Festivals last year) aren't full of screaming teenagers  - usually a good mix of ages & definitely a trend of more mature festival goers with campervans & motorhomes as it's a great combination :) Can only imagine that being with a group of friendly Funsters would make it even better :hi5: If you just want to book at the discount rate & do your own thing then that's fine too. Sunshine & also Old Bush Blues http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum...ust-callow-end-worcester-funster-meet.147027/ are ideal if you want to bring your dog or pets but for those without there are also meets at Mello http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum...y-fun-meet-discount-offer-booking-now.146841/ & BunkFest http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum...shire-1-3-september-2017-funster-meet.146262/ .

Bump - wouldn't like anyone to miss out :)
