Slowly travelling south towards Murcia...heating on again this morning ...🥴
Another overnighter planned with a shortish hop home on Saturday morning....lots to do, important things, like get the van ready for a trip away.... hopefully with the additional battery and inverter fitted...if all goes well next Friday should see us heading in another direction...🤔🇪🇺

Edit.... I've just had Porridge, the first bowl of this Autumn period...

I'm already planning a trip into the Castilla la Mancha region. I've got some lagoons to visit on my mini bucket list. We MAY get there on the trip. If so, I hope they're as good in reality.

I don't know. I might just continue as, hopefully, it'll only be a short break.

Any preference?
No preference, just checking in case I need to hunt you down (on here, not in person obvs) ::bigsmile:

We'll, we've had a bit of a changeable day. We had the heater on this morning and we set off driving and our feet and legs were cold. We got around Ávila on market day and arrived at a brand new motorhome area south of Toledo at a village called Los Yebenes, chosen because it had some shade. We were quite happy in a corner until the cars began to arrive in the early evening. The occupants ignored us and began to congregate in the opposite corner, so we left.

We've driven 50 km to Puerto Lápice and, although we were heading for the pay parking area, we turned into the free one instead and we're here for the night.

It's taken 50 km off tomorrow's drive so it's not so bad.

It's a shame that the motorhome area at Los Yebenes has been commandeered as a meeting place for young people, but we honestly don't know why it was built. It's out of the town and with little of great interest nearby, just some old Mills and an Ermita.

Haha FIESTA here. I slept well anyway but I can hear the music still playing now I'm awake.

We're getting on the road soon and stopping for breakfast after a short drive. We've got about 4.5 hours drive to get home.

It's been a great summer trip and we'll be back to some of the places we found next year.

I'll continue this thread with our autumn trip, but the start may be delayed slightly. The battery delivery is already delayed by a few days 😡

Lots now
Hi guys, I know you have mentioned before that you use a specialist type of app for planning your rides and although myself and Philip won't be as adventure driven it may be useful for us. Can you let me know which it is. Thank you

Safe journey home, loved following your travels and tried to keep up even though the Internet has had its moments. :Eeek:

We are still in France in a very wet field surrounded by what looks like a lake  hopefully we can move today. 🦆🦆 Bob.

Martin has been using Komoot for planning the routes we've been doing this trip. It's a German app and very popular there, not so in Spain.

In Spain Wikiloc is more commonly used. We use that to follow other people's routes. The downside is following any mistakes that have been made! You soon get to work out those blips though.

When Martin's done the Komoot planning, I then use Wikiloc to follow it and it's worked brilliantly.

Well, we're home. I've chased out the spiders and swept the bird poo off the terrace. We've had lunch and now we're sitting on our sofas underneath the ceiling fan. Aircon not needed.

Tomorrow proper cleaning will be done.

It rained in the night so that has helped to soften the stuck on bird poo on the terrace tiles. They are now gleaming. I've rebuilt the table (put the legs back on) and recushioned the outdoor sofa.

Blue sky and patchy golf course.

We had an alien lurking with the cushions inside the apartment. I took a photo and then when I looked it had disappeared, so it's somewhere .... I normally like gekkos, but this one 😨.

The sun's now out and so is one load of washing, with a second one on its way.
