Stunning Ā£220,000 hig-tech British motorhome!

Even Google confuses them with RS, that is unfortunate

Park the latest RS Endeavor next to this RC and take the badges off and it would be very difficult to know which was which! šŸ¤£

And the keypad opens the door and all the lockers? I hope thats programmable otherwise the outside tv or the lithium would be away pretty quick ...

Needs to independently lock and open - I hope they have thought of this in the set up. When I open the door I don't want every locker around the motorhome to open.

That said, my RS Elysian has 11 external lockers each with two locks. Same key but if they are all open that's 22 locks to lock!!

Interesting but not for me. O.K. when parked up for a few days when competing in motorbike racing events but too large and too much techy bling. I prefer to be able to get down narrow'ish lanes to 'secret' places, go inside with muddy shoes. I don't want to be cosseted as if I was still at home but on wheels.
I was more impressed with the reviewer's fluent, well informed and intelligent presentation; no errs, umms and ahhs or stating the B obvious. Crisp, clear and steady filming too.
I will second that, a good quality production all round unlike some. Regarding the vehicle, more things to go wrong.

Very nice but too big for me. Not that we could afford an expensive one but we like that ours is different from home - i.e. no TV and small but with space for everything. Ironically, when we met up with our friends who have a 2 berth campervan which is bigger and a lot newer than ours we ended up eating and drinking in ours because we had the two bench seats and they didn't because they had a fixed bed

Alright for those with money to burn. Hmmm...... Ā£90,000 motorhome or Ā£220,000? I would defy anyone to thoroughly inspect both examples and pick out reasons for the Ā£130,000 price difference.

I kind of get your point... would be good to see the Ā£90k MH which delivers all that this RC does so I could have a good go at challenging you? šŸ˜œ Can you send over a link please?

Naaah, I'll stick with my old Concorde. I agree that it would be better as an A class.

At Ā£220k kind of a waste not being an A class. Also, they have lifted the chassis to get the double floor but if it was an A class that would extend right through as a flat floor to the front.

As for the extra Ā£130k mentioned above, I can see that - slide out, air suspension, self levelling legs, the lifting of the chassis etc

Right from the outside it looks very average to me me, styling going back in time. overhead cab makes it look like an Autotrail. Hasnā€™t got the style of a Morelo. But each to their own.

I think if I had that much money to burn I would choose an Earth Roamer XV LTS on the Ford F550 Chassis. It's a bit more money but it will certainly take you anywhere. Met a guy with one when we were touring America and he seemed to own about half of Wyoming. He told me he got it because it sometimes took him about 9 hrs to get to the best fishing spots and he wanted a bit of comfort when he got there. I know fishermen are dedicated but I had no idea they were $500,000 crazy. Look it up and be amazed.

I have looked it up and if I wanted to go off roading I get it but then I think there are better off roaders out there, as a replacement for our A class "not a chance" as I would have to sit outside to have a view.

Do you think that we bought a Ā£220k+ van without looking at something cheaper and deciding it didn't fit the bill, I wouldn't claim that Ā£220k gets you twice as much van as Ā£110k as laws of diminishing returns applies but yes I/we have throughly inspected a lot of vans in a variety of budgets but at Ā£90k the inspection lasts no more than a couple of minutes as they just don't do it for us.

Watching the footage Iā€™m sure that the van in the distance is an RS so I wonder if they have been reviewing that also, as well as the huge thing in the distance?

If the filming is on RC premises it could just be used stock as they are showing 3 RS for sale.

the electrics in particular impressed me. Yes there is a lot of tech but there is a full redundancy architecture of back up relays in case of a problem.
What I could see of the electrics impressed me too. Very neatly done to a high standard unlike any other I've seen. The keypad isn't particularly high tech and is likely one that's commercially available for buildings access control. It's no more or less secure than any other Pin pad. Just stand close.

Some small 6 metre PVCs are Ā£100,000.00+ so for the amount of kit and quality construction it's not surprising it's this price for a top quality motorhome.

You could put any van up here for this price with a link to it and you would get some people rubbishing it in one way or another, regardless of an A class, coach built, RV etc.

Too big for me but it looks a beauty for some dependent on the construction, insulation etc.

You could always look at the Swift Kon-Tiki Dynamic on the IVECO rear wheel drive chassis, starts just over Ā£150k.

Yes we did look, but not for long ;)

Can anyone tell me why, no matter how many gadgets, fixtures and fittings, no matter how expensive or how new the motorhome is, the ladder is always chucked on the bed - seemingly never having a dedicated storage area included in the design ? Apart from anything else, in the two motorhomes we had previously, both with Luton overcab, I needed a ladder to allow me to REACH the ladder on the bed ! Thankfully, our latest, an old Hymer with drop down bed, does away with that problem and we've very quickly organised handy storage for the little ladder.
