Stunning £220,000 hig-tech British motorhome!

I think it's horrible just don't like it and what a waste of space without an A Class front end.
Induction hob & combi microwave what's the point of that.
A class is where the real development money is lenny, this one is for the motorsport with generator brigade.

As an RS Endeavour owner I feel well qualified to comment on this RC, as they are in VERY direct competition with each other. I should also state that mine is eight years old, so not as fancy as this one! 😜

One of the reasons I bought my RS was that it is built on a 7T chassis and in a way that gives huge flexibility in use. The size of my garage and payload is fundamentally important to me as is extra fresh water storage from two tanks (one is labelled as a jet was tank) so I can park next to a lake in France and fish comfortably for two weeks if we want, especially with on board genie etc

I have to also commend the way this genre of Motorhome are screwed together. They really are built for the the rough and tuff use they see in a Motorsport paddock and are built very solidly with genuine craftsmanship.

I know A class Motorhomes are held in high regard (rightly so) but I also like the fact I can get a windscreen anywhere I need to with it being standard Iveco.

Finally, yes they are big, mine is 9.2m long but with twin rwd and diff lock and air suspension to raise up when needed, they are more manoeuvrable than one would imagine and can get off wet and muddy situations pretty well.

If you get a chance, have a look around one as they are very nice vehicles.

I’m not a fan of the sofa style as they look very cheap/uncomfortable like a naff night club.

RS do a class motorhomes which suit the high spec better.

Is RC not just rs rebranded yet again ?

That company has a weird history with its owners falling out ,going bust , restarting etc ..

Nothing to do with RS Tam, RC are in Newton Abbott RS in South Yorks.

RC just used to do bespoke PVCs when they started out, then they started with the big coach builds like the one talked about here and stopped PVCs but now they do them both again I believe.

I’ll have one if ones going spare....

but I’m not sure about these key pad entries, it only takes a wrong do’er with a pair of binoculars and he’s in when your next out..🤔

Went on their website. I like the look of their van conversions very much. Not even heard of them before!

If plans work out I may visit them in a few weeks.

I do agree that a lot of the cupboards look like fridge fronts but I guess that is just down to how you spec the vehicle, a lot of tech on it for the money though if the £220k price is true but I can't find a price list, wouldn't mind a good poke around one though, I think they come from building motorsport trucks.

No A class Steve TheAleMan
Yes, I found that out Martin..shame though. (y)

The Mrs particularly likes the laundry shoot.
If it comes back up clean and pressed OK but can't see the point otherwise, i mean when you run out of clean under crackers you would have to go out to the garage for a rummage.

I have to add I put mine in a bag in the bathroom and it ends up in the wardrobe at home all clean and pressed, now that is clever, but expensive.

Couple of things strike me.. The fridge.. Massive fridge, tiny freezer.. Why oh why do all fridge freezer makers do that ! a 50/50. or beeter still 60 /40 in favour of the freezer would be far better for an awful lot of folk.

And the other point.. It seems to rely heavily on battery power, but there was no mention of an onboard genny
it seems to be built with hook up in mind.... Which is fine if that is your thing, but it does detract from the point of a motorhome over a caravan
The ability to go miles from the madding crowd is seems is somewhat compromised if it involves being off grid for more than a day or so

Would I have one ?
Yes. like a shot, but I would pay extra to have more battery power AND an underslung genny for emergencies ( welllllll... If I could afford the £220K to start with, an extra £5k or so would be small beans )

I am also left wondering what the lead time on the beast would be ?

Im pretty sure it’s aimed at the motorsport market, you would struggle to tow a trailer with race car or bikes as well as a caravan so motorhome makes a lot of sense. I’ve also never seen a caravan with a garage able to carry two motorbikes.

I'm sure he mentioned it had a generator

Sure he said on board genny

I would rather spend the money circumnavigating the world.

Good thought.. Kinda limits potential customers though !

More "Marmite"?. It`s Nice, It`s definitely overpriced. For that money. I could get 2 Winnebago`s, (Almost). Not a fan of shiny white/silver interiors, for me some nice "real wood" is better, warmer?. The high tech is wonderful, until it fails and has to be expensively investigated by a guy with a computer. Which I accept is becoming a general fact of life today. External T-V`s are more suited to US (or Spain perhaps) conditions that the average cold and windy UK. Would I buy one?. Only if I could not find a more suitable candidate for the use I wanted to put it to. eg; Full 4WD would be nice?, especially if it was intended to be used on (say) Horse events, or Motorsport outfield.?
